Another stupid gamble....?

Aurora...? This is what you got yourself into...?

That's what Lilith would say if she saw me right now. Walking to my new job, as a Scout.

Aurora was a blonde-haired girl with blue eyes that looked like the firey sea, she had recently been arrested by the military police. But she got an offer she couldn't turn down. To join the Scouts due to her skills in hand-to-hand combat. And speed. She had outrun and outsmarted the MP's countless times but this time she came up short and was beaten and got detained. Well, that was 6 months ago, she finished up the Scout training 4 months ago. And what a lucky girl she was. In 4 months she climbed the ranks and made the Levi squad. She already knew some of the people such as Sasha and Jean. When in training she talked to Sasha and kicked Jean's ass a time or two. Aurora is 28 standing 5'7. So when she walked into the mess hall, where they are their meals. She was greeted with some familiar faces.

"Aurora!! Come sit with us!" A voice came, it was the brown-haired girl Aurora made friends at the cadet training camp.

"Sasha?" Aurora said softly as she walked towards the table where Sasha, Jean, and a couple of others from the 104th cadet corps. That Aurora didn't know by name, well, except Eren Jaeger. He had been all over the paper recently. After the titan attack in Trost. He was also on trial for a while then made Levi squad or so Aurora heard. Aurora sat down with the ground of people

"Hey, Aurora. Long time no see." Jean said as Aurora sat down. He had that smirk you could never wipe off his face but it was whatever. Aurora just smiled back. Her hair was tied into a messy bun. It suited her in a way.

"Hey, Jean. Still, a noodle as always. Still, think I can kick your ass? Or did you get stronger since last time?" Aurora said taking a bit of her bread, she snickered at her comment.
"I have gotten stronger! And you're not overreacting to bread like the first time." Jean said back. Fair point.

"What the hell is your problem, blondie?!?"

Aurora ate everything on her plate in the blink of an eye. She looked like she was gonna cry from how good the food was. Aurora swallowed. As she looked at Jean

"It is so good! The best damn food I have had in 16 years!! So much better than rotten apples and moldy bread!" 

Aurora laughed at the memory, she continued to eat her food as she seemed to forget about why she hated the thought of this job...Not because she could die...What some drunk scout did to Lilith.

Aurora forgot why she should hate these people.
But it's not their fault

It was just one bad seed out of these amazing people.

"Guys don't be rude!! Introduce yourselves!" Sasha said looking at the others at the table. A blonde-haired boy spoke. He had a partly feminine voice but it was a guy.

"I am Armin! This is Eren and Mikasa!" Armin spoke with a smile on his face. Eren waved slightly as Mikasa just looked at Aurora then went back to eating. Aurora wasn't bothered by this cold gesture.

"My name is Connie! Nice to meet you." A slightly bald man spoke, his name was Connie. Aurora gave a awkard smile to the group.

What do I say...?
I am never this nice to people I barely know..

But they are so nice

There is no reason to be an asshole to them

"I am Aurora, it's a pleasure to meet you all." Aurora said quiet as two people walked by the table.

"Oi, four-eyes. I don't care about your titan experiments. All I do is kill titans. Not study them. That simple."

Captain Levi?! He is ALOT shorter in person, and he sounded like an asshole...

"Well you don't have to be rude about it!! Your so mean!" Another person with brown hair spoke, they had on these glasses.

"Morning cadets! Eren are you ready for some more titan experiments?!" The person spoke again as they looked at Aurora and looked a little bit confused then looked at Levi.

"Did you get another recruit?! Unfair!!" They said then looking back at Aurora with a smile

"Hi I am Zoe Hange! I am section commander and titan expert! You?" Hange spoke as Aurora felt more awkward as she got some courage back in her.

"I am Aurora. Nice to meet you, Hange." Aurora spoke with a smile it was faint tho. Hange slapped her back slightly with a laugh.

"Welcome to hell on earth my friend! And come on Eren! We got a lot of work to do today!" Hange said as Eren got up and they walked away. Levi glared at tbe group then followed behind Hange

"Levi is rather scary, don't you think?" Jean said with a chuckle. Sasha shivered a little bit.

"Not as scary as Saudis....He is extra scary..." Sasha said as she looked at the others in the group, Aurora chuckled a little bit.

"Yeah Saudis was a little bit scary, but Captain Levi.....he just seems like a asshole. Not to scary.." Aurora said as she got up with a smile "Well we might as well get prepared for our training and whateved the captain tells us to do." Aurora cleaned up her spot and went to the room she stayed in to get changed and ready for what the day had in store. As she got dressed she noticed her book she had since she was little. She never knew what the book said only a few words she knew but otherwise she could not read it. She keep it with her at all times, even if it was useless. She finished getting ready and walked out of her room, ready for her first day.
