"Are you ready?" Legolas asks. You shake your head. "No...?" You answer unsurely. He grins and puts a hand on your arm. "Do not worry. You will do great." He says. "Easy for you to say. You're the best archer in all of Middle Earth." You laugh, poking his arm. A pale pink hue touches his cheek. "I am not." He protests. "You are, too! Do not deny it, Legolas." You say. He laughs softly and shakes his head. "Let's go." He says. You grab your bow and arrows and follow him to the target practice bay.
You grip the bow so hard your knuckles turn white. "Y/N, relax." Legolas commands gently, his voice soothing. You took a deep breath and loosen your fingers. "Good, good." He says. You swallow and step onto the bay, a target fifty feet from you. You knock an arrow and look at Legolas who's observing you. "You can do it." He whispers, smiling. "Could-could you make sure I'm doing it right?" You ask nervously. "Of course." He nods. You take a stance and he looks over you. He crouches and moves your feet a slight fraction of an inch. He stands, his eyes scrutinizing you. "Pretty good, Y/N." He says. You smile proudly. "It's from all the times of watching you-" You start. You shut your mouth and blush, looking to the target.
You cough, embarrassed, and take a deep breath. "Now." Legolas whispers, seeming unfazed by your words. You release your arrow and it falls short of the target. "Ouch." You wince. "Hey, that was good, Y/N." He says encouragingly. "Thanks, mellon [friend]." You say, quirking a quick smile. "Would you mind if I corrected something?" He asks. You shake your head. "No, no, please go ahead." You say. "All right, take your stance." Legolas says. You obey. He moves behind you and pulls your firing arm back slightly. He covers your other hand, that's holding the bow, with his own and pulls it up slightly. "Like this?" You ask, turning back to look at him. He's much closer than you thought him to be. He stares down at you. "That's-that perfect..." He whispers. You feel his breath of your face and you can't help but continue to look at him.
Legolas slowly lowers his mouth to yours and kisses you softly. You fire the arrow and then drop your bow, wrapping your arms around him. You deepen the kiss and he wraps his arms around your waist.
You hear a cough and pull your head away, refusing to release your hold on Legolas. He obviously thinks the same and keeps his arms locked around you. You look and see Galion and Lethuin. "S-sorry to bother you." Lethuin says, trying to hold in a chuckle. Galion shoots him a look. You blush and Legolas laughs softly. "Nice shot though." Galion says, looking to your arrow. Legolas and you both turn to see the arrow in the middle of the target.
You glance up at Legolas and snicker. "If kissing leads to perfect shots, we should do that all the time." Lethuin laughs. Galion glares at him and he stops laughing. You giggle. "We'll get out of your way, Galion and Lethuin, won't we, Legolas?" You ask, looking up at him. His blue eyes stare into yours and he grins. "We sure will." He says. "Good luck, mellons [friends]." You say, nodding to Galion and Lethuin.
Legolas and you walk off, smiling. "Maybe Lethuin is right..." Legolas ponders. "What?" You laugh. "'If kissing leads to perfect shots, we should do that all the time.'" He quotes. You grab his hand and squeeze it. "Somehow I don't think we'd ever get anything done." You say, smiling. Legolas kisses your temple. "No, maybe not. But there's always free time." He says, winking. You laugh again and kiss his cheek.
