............................................

Moon stared silently at her mother. Wails of despair echoed throughout her silver sheened body as the darkness of the night kissed her ebony skin lovingly, with false reassurances and empty caresses. She stared silently as the life essence of hes mother slowly poured out of her, only to be fed on by the darkness. The same darkness she hated. The same darkness she could never stop loving. Who do I love more? Moon thought to herself, the mother who is slowly poisoned by the children she so vehemently loves or with the darkness who she loves more than Helios loves himself?

But alas, even after centuries of bloodshed and anticipation, Moon would never know. She was blinded by the lies laced with sweet nothings and soul consuming grief. Staring at her mother silently, so close yet so far away, she continued to shine her light down onto the monsters who lived as parasites on her dying mother, feasts equivalent to a king's and arrogance dimming even her shine.

She watched silently as hes children transformed into veracious wolves and bowed down to their mother. She watched silently as blood splattered onto the sacred grounds of her mothers land. She watched silently as the bodies were burnt and buried, the lies were draped under the ballgowns of cheating wives or hidden under the blinding luster of wealth and riches. The parasites danced under the protection of the stars and grieved over the dead. She watched silently  as love was made and love was severed. Oh, this world was destined for ruination.

And, what an exquisite ruination it will be.

A small smile graced her delicate human form, as Moon sat herself down onto the barren land of her fallen kingdom, basking in the darkness wrapping its claws around her slender neck. She traced her index finger down her neck, the golden ichor landing on her outstretched palm, like the beacon of light among st the cruel sea of greed. The forgotten  goddess rose with a flourish, wiping the whitened ash off her sheer silver woven dress, as she lazily trailed barefooted on the remaining of a creature that had once been alive. Her footsteps echoing, perfectly resonating with the screams of the dead, which she had buried long ago.

She held her palm out, her blood lighting the invisible pathway she had forged for herself, the darkness swirled around her exposed legs and whispered for her to join him again in their toxic love making, but she continued on. Memories of war and love fought for her attention as she found herself being immersed in a world of long forgotten happiness, mother on her side and a shrapnel on the other.

"𝒍𝒆𝒍 𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒆 𝒅𝒊𝒎𝒊𝒛𝒆𝒎𝒛𝒂"

The voice twisted its forked tongue and licked her glossy lips, admiring the length of her nails as lightning slapped the surface of the soil, like an abusive husband, and the darkness shuddered in pain. A bloody hand outstretched from the crevasse of the new wound and desperately tried to reach out for freedom. Moon simply smiled and bent down to look at her handsome prisoner. "Oh Romeo, Oh Romeo, Wherefore art thou Romeo?" she mocked maliciously, staring at the pitying state of his existence, his once feathery wings lay crumpled and broken, just like the hope he once had. His powers stripped and his divine status now lying unseen and unimportant. Like autumn leaves, Moon thought to herself, pretty to look at but purposeless.

"I hope you have realized the irony of your situation, Romeo", the melody of her voice lay tinged with secrets and watered down wine, she watched  amusingly as he struggled to open his jaw, blood swirling down with every effort he mentally channeled.

" Oh wait, sorry honey, I forgot I had ripped out your voice box a few days ago, oh well" , Moon teased with an arched eyebrow as the man in front of her watched with burning hatred, " this is what happens when people don't listen to me, when people FORGET me, they suffer, so don't take this personally, okay? This is all for the greater good" she whispered into the flesh that was once his ear whilst  carefully opening his jaw, dripping her life essence into his disfigured mouth.

Once the ichor drained out of her scarred palm, she lightly  kissed his bruised, beaten lips and stood up, but one glance at the lost hungry expression on his once Adonis like face, made her sit down and expose her neck to his desperate fangs. Silver green eyes closed on their own accord as Romeo gripped her thighs and fed desperately on the liquid which had hypnotized thousands before him, with her deceit and intricate web of manipulation.

His fangs dug deeper and his touch became more feverish, clawing at the stitching of her pewter fabric, she let out a coy sigh and let the man grab and grope her body.

After all he only has a few days left.

As the blood coated both their bodies in a heated embrace of despair and cold calculation, Moon thought of the siren. That bitch of a siren living on her mother, Gaia's dying body, carrying out an agenda the ethereal beauty needed to know of.

Insanity clouded the silver speckled eyes, taking over her body as she fondly held Romeo's head in her tender cold hands and kissed him one last time.

A sickening crack later,  she climbed out of the soulless prison and slipped her dress back on, the darkness placing feathery kisses against her smoothly sculpted back as she stared silently into the void of rebirth and death, and for once, the obsidian jeweled crown on the tresses of her silky white hair didn't feel like a burden anymore.

The crown felt like a salvation.

My diamond encrusted Valentino heels stabbed the cracked concrete surface, as the smell of crime and drugs resurfaced from its lair, seeping out from the fissures of abandoned trash bags. The rotting hand of a still born peaked out from a nearby bin, its flesh clearly been pecked by ravenous birds.

Oh the beauty of death.  Raw beauty, uninhibited beauty which famishes your soul every time it sails  its cold fingers on your mortal skin, bewitching you with wonder and disgust.

My thoughts wondered back to the moment I had seen the cute foolish boy- Edgar's death,  blood lust pooled into the very core of my body, and I felt my true form stirring inside me, an entity waiting to be released from its gilded cage. Like the wisps of dandelion seeds waiting to be released into the air, waiting to fulfill the wishes captured in them by desperate little children. Stupid little children.

Leaning against the crumbling wall, I ripped off the luscious tresses of the wig and reapplied the blood like lipstick, the dry matte powder kissing every crevasse of my lips. With a quick swipe of the ruby encrusted dagger against the silken material, the gold sheen of my legs made in contact with the exposed moonlight.

Moonlight, my salvation.
