Starring out the window it seemed like forever. White clouds and blue sky is all I had been seeing for hours. My butt was numb and I was beyond exhausted but I had lost my chance to take a nap because the plane ride was almost over, thank goodness. I was getting flown to L.A for a few weeks to finish recording the last few songs on my new album. I didn't know many people in L.A except for my best friend Demi Lovato.
We met in London at a dinner party for a birthday for someone I could hardly remember. We were both fifteen at the time and didn't leave each others side not letting a single person pull us apart. We clicked just like that and ever since it has been a great three years of friendship. Although I lived in London and she lived in L.A, she flys out to London all the time to see me, but I hadn't been to L.A yet.
My Beat Solos and my Iphone weren't keeping me distracted long enough, and neither was my new kitten. Her name was Marley like the puppy from Marley and Me. She was a white kitten with big blue eyes. I wasn't sure what kind she was, but she was adorable and mine and that was all that mattered.
"Ariana?" I heard my Aunt Connie calling to me. I turned in my seat to see her standing at the front. Skinny flare jeans, sperry's and a plain shirt never looked wrong on her, but maybe that's because she wore that all the time. I didn't blame her though, her husband owns more boats than a person could count and her love for American Eagle is bigger than her love for her new born baby Ryder.
"Oh, there you are." She smiled walking towards me. I laughed rolling my eyes, only she would lose me on a private Jet. I unbuckled my belt and stood up, grabbing an apple juice and sitting on a beige leather couch. It wasn't very comfortable but it felt better than that other seat.
"I have very good news." She smiled taking a seat next to me after she grabbed a VOSE water from the mini fridge. Connie was like my mentor/caretaker. She was also my Aunt and since my parents died when I was thirteen I went to live with my Aunt in London which is where I decided to stay. I'm from a small town in North Carolina called Brunswick County and living in London for five years really opened my eyes up and I realized that I never wanted to go back to Brunswick. It was a small farm town with one school for every grade, and one mall with about two stores in it.
When I was about fourteen is when I knew I wanted to be something. I sang a song live at my church and it turned out that it was live on T.V. Everyone thought that I was a guest at the church and that I was actually a singer. Apparently to everyone else I was born to sing. I loved it and ever since then that's what I have been doing.
"Do you remember when Frankie told you that you needed to have a bonus track and you were absolutley strung on the idea of having to write another song and it was all you thought about and then he told you it wasn't a big deal but you still wanted to do it and then you decided not to and then he said you actually needed one?" She asked me rambling like she always did. I couldn't help but laugh at the whole fiasco that happened over that and nodded to let her know that I did remember.
Frankie was my big brother but also helped me record some of my music because he owned a huge recording studio in England. As a big brother, Frankie always gave me advice on my songs and such, and even though I hated to admit this...he was always right. So of course I wanted to do what was best but I wasn't sure how.
"Yes." I said taking a sip of my Martinellis. "Well, One Direction is in L.A for a few weeks just like you and apparently they have been wanting to record with you for a while now. I mean, it's just a suggestion but I think this may be your best option right now. Your flustered about this whole situation and I think that it would be a good idea for you to at least give it a shot." Aunt Connie smiled at me before kissing my head.
"Although don't think too hard on it. We need that pretty head of yours to stay sharp for tomorrows interview." She stated.
"I don't even know them though. It'd be too weird to do a song with five people. That's six people...that's a lot of people on one song. How are we all going to have a solo?" I said to her panicking again as she laughed at me.
"Sweetheart thirty people sang We Are The World for Hati and they all had their own parts." Aunt Connie said trying to assure me.
"Aunt Connie, that song was seven minutes long and it was for a cause." I said reminding her.
"Yes well they all had their own solo didn't they?" She said to me. "Yeah, I guess so." I sighed folding my arms.
"Don't worry about it." She said kissing my head again. "Mrs. Grande we are about to land. Buckle your seatbelt." A blonde woman said wearing a flight attendant suite.
Going back to my seat I buckled up and got my things together, folding my Beats and putting them in my purse along with a few other things.
"Ariana. Please don't stress over this." Aunt Connie said buckling up next to me. "I'm not I just don't get why it has to be One Direction. Can't it be like....anyone else?" I said softly trying not to be rude.
It's not that I wasn't a fan of One Direction or anything but the thing is is that I don't have time to get the hate or tweets, or mean comments on Instagram because I know that will all be comming if I even smile at one of the boys. I wasn't stupid I knew how agressive some of their fans could be.
"I said not to worry." She said hushing me up. I nodded, feeling my stomach drop a little as the plane rolled onto the ground.
"Come along." We need to get back to the hotel and adress with your stylist clothing for tomorrow." I heard Xandra say. Xandra was part of management and usually came with me on trips to help me with my schedule and such.
I got up grabbing my purse and cute kitten, following Aunt Connie, Xandra, and my bodygaurd Bear off the Jet.
Bear was a seven foot one black man with the looks of a pro wrestler and the personality of a puppy dog. That's why we called him Bear. He was a big teddy bear."Ariana. Make sure to keep that kitten safe." Aunt Connie told me. I glanced between my cat and my crazy screaming fans behind gates at the airport. I looked up at Bear and handed him my animal trying not to laugh at how hilarious it was to see him holding a baby kitten.
We pushed through the crowd of people and fans at the airport only stopping a few times to take pictures and sign autographs.
As we were walking to the exit where I knew Demi would be waiting for me, a large mob of girls ran screaming past us. I stopped bumping into Bears front side, making my kitten meow and Xandra turn around. "What's wrong?" Aunt Connie asked.
"Nothing some girls just...." I said looking in the direction that the girls ran. Half suprised half not, I saw three tall girls running after the one and only, One Direction.
