Chapter 1. Outbreak pt3

I stare in horror as a disfigured monster stumbles out of the closet towards me, I need to move but I'm frozen in place and the monster is about to fall on me, the monster reaches for my face, groaning and moaning like it's in pain, and just before he grabs me it stops, hand stretched out but not moving any closer, I open my clenched eyes and take a peak at why it's stopped and I see a grey and blue hoodie wrapped around its neck and face along with other clothes of mine tangled around its lower body and legs, it's stuck.
The thing try's to jerk forward at me but the clothes hold him back, all but one thin dress caught on a coat hanger is holding it to the closet, I can't stay here it'll break free soon so I can't waste anytime.
I shuffle over a bit and push myself up along the wall, staying as far away from the monsters grasp as possible, I slide past the door and grab the banister of the stairs and almost throw myself down them, I need to get Kaitlyn then we have to leave before the coat hanger snaps.
I lunge threw into the room and grab one of Kaitlyns bags and start shoving clothes into the bag, I look over my shoulder and Kaitlyn starts stirring due to the noise I made when I came in.
"Kaitlyn get up, we need to leave now, right now come on there's no time to get dressed" I move over to her bed and start lifting her up and down onto the floor, she rubs hers eyes and yawns,
"What's happening daddy? Why do we have to leave?" I look her dead in the eyes and worry, will she under stand the danger? No we can't freak her we need to move quickly, I snap away and start moving out the room and whisper over my shoulder,
"We are going to see mummy come on we are leaving now, go out to the car and no matter what happened don't leave till I come out ok? Go now"
I turn the corner and head for the key rack to open the electric gate and I hear a large thud and a moan, the coat hangers broken we need to move.
I grab the key and point it out the window and click the button, the gate starts opening and I walk over, grab my cell phone and wallet and that's it we have to leave now.
I open the front door and check round the corner that the monster from the back garden wasn't there but it sure is, sitting but the wall staring up at the window that I was at, groaning hungrily, I don't know what it is but it's got a strong hunger for me right now.
I take another quick check the monster isn't looking and I start taking long and slow steps towards the car, but about two steps away from the car when I hear the upstairs toilet flush, oh god..oh god no, I turn on my heels and sprint back inside bashing the half closed door open with my shoulder and lunging up the stairs, I panic and burst the bathroom door open and expect the monster to be in here with her but it's just Kaitlyn in here, she jumps back and gives me a surprised look,"wha..what? You scared me daddy what's wrong?" She gives me a look of innocence, I breath out heavily put wipe my forehead, I'm going to have a panic attack, I grab her hand and start pulling her out the bathroom.
"Don't you ever dare do that again you hear me? I told you to go out to the car no go to the bathroom, our lives are at risk!" I blurt out, I stop and realise what I said the, turn and see her puzzled face looking up at me, she goes to say something but stops, and just stares at me, what's she looking at? I turn my head to see the thing from the garden standing at the bottom of the stairs.
Looking up at us, head lowered but eyes fixated on us, a string of blood droops from his mouth and he takes a step closer up the stairs,
"Kaitlyn, get in your room now." I push her behind me and take step back, I turn to follow but am confronted my the sight of the monster at the end of the hall, also just staring at me.
I look over my shoulder to see the monster at the bottom on the stairs has started to climb even with a broken leg, and back at the more important threat at the moment, I take a step towards the room and it also takes a step closer, fuck it, I shove Kaitlyn into the room and begin running inside, I get behind the door and slam it shut, the quick thumping and groaning means the monster can run, shit that's not good.
The thumping stops at the door but it doesn't bang against it, I'm confused but that is ended but the door being brought down on top of me and crushing my arm, I scream in pain as the monster drops down on top of the door trying to rip it off me, our faces meet as it pulls the door down exposing me face to it, it starts snapping at my face and dripping blood, a black substance over my face, just as I think it can't get any worse I hear Kaitlyn scream and the monster look up, it sits up off me and slides towards her, I grab it's leg but the flesh just slides off into my hands and it continues towards her.
No I can't let this happen, I start sliding after the monster trying to stop it and just as i reach for its leg again I'm pulled back. I whip my head around and it's the monster with the broken leg pulling me back, I kick it in the face and jerk away from it and try to jump at the monster but it's too late,
"daddy! Daaaaaa......" The scream is cut off by a gargle and I look in horror to see the monster has sunk it's teeth into Kaitlyns neck and ripped out a hole, Kaitlyn starts gasping and holding onto her neck as blood squirts out all over the floor,her face goes grey and she stops gasping and just stairs blankly at me, then her head topples and rests against the wall and her shoulder.
I cripple over, no......Kaitlyn.nooooooo!NOOOOO! Kaitlyn Noooooo! Stay awake baby please ple.. Please baby noo noooo noo no no please God NO!

Hey sorry it took a while but here is the end of chapter 1! Some feed back and a rate would be great (ha it rhymed) btw sorry for that (sort of) cliffhanger ending I thought it would be dramatic but anyway thanks for reading, the next part will hopefully not take long for me to write. 😊
