I'm Still Here

Chapter 4

                                    It was already 12:00 am on Mike's watch. He was trying to get settled on the computer chair after the details the guy on the phone said. The security room was very dusty and there were webs under the table. The fan that was turned on didn't help the two occupants in the room. Callie was leaning on the wall at the right side. Her hair was tied to a ponytail and she was wearing a brown jacket with a blue shirt underneath and jeans with boots. Mike was wearing the security uniform which was a blue jacket and jeans with a belt and shoes. Callie was trying to look for evidence inside the room for any sign of Reggie. "I thought you said there was blood here.", Callie told Mike. "Yes, there was. I showed you my bloody sock to you yesterday. Maybe, the employees cleaned this place for the sake of the visitors." , "You don't think-", Callie gulped, "-he was killed, right?" Mike was thinking about the possibility. He recalled what happened in the back room. Who was that extra bear? Why was it so bloody? How come it's eyes were azure like Reggie's? Unless, it had something to do with what the guy at the phone said. "Those things forced Reggie into a bear suit." Callie was shocked at Mike's sudden outburst. "You believe that guy on the phone?", She said, skeptical. "I saw that extra bear suit in the back room. It was dripping with blood and the eyes that popped out were azure just like Reggie's. The blood here must be his because he was the only one here and when he called to me, there was a lot of fear on his voice.", Mike said, holding back tears that are about to fall. "Oh God, Mike.", Callie said, starting to cry. "Yeah, I-"

"Close the left door, Mike. NOW!!!"

Mike suddenly forced himself to close the left door. He pushed the door button and the left door closed. He started, "What's wrong?". Callie replied,"The bunny animatronic. It was at the left door, trying to get in."

                                   "I can't believe the phone guy was right.", "Phone guy?". Callie glared,"Let's just call him that."

"You didn't believe what he said?"

"I thought he was just saying crap to scare the shit out of us."

"Well, he was right. The same thing happened to me when I went here to find Reggie."

"Did you know about this before you went here to find Reggie?"

"Nah, I just learned about this when the bear chased me and the bunny scared the crap out of me.", Mike said, tensing a bit. 

"Well, we better survive then."

"You know I think the phone guy was telling us how painful the death of Reggie was."

"Which?"

"The suits still had their endoskeletons with electrical wires, crossbeams and circuits."

Callie tensed,"Let's just prevent them by closing the doors."

"Well, we can't. The phone guy said we have only limited power and the doors lose a lot of our power which would then lose our electricity and they can get in. According to the tablet, we only have 78 % power."

"Ok, let's be smart about this."

Callie checked Mike's watch which read 2:00 am. Mike checked the camera and cursed. "What's wrong?", Callie asked. "The chicken is gone too.", Mike replied. "The thing should have 'chickened' out." Mike almost laughed at her attempt of a joke. Until, they were sounds of clanging of pots and pans in the kitchen. "Must be the chicken.", She said. "Yes because the bunny is in the closet.", Mike replied. He kept on searching through the cameras; until, he opened the back room camera. It had an endoskeleton sitting on the table and weird animal suit heads all over the place. 'Poor Reggie, I wonder where they kept his body.', Mike thought. He checked Pirate's cove. Foxy's eye was peeking through the starry purple curtain. Mike always wanted to get back at that fox for his brother. He wanted to kill that fox. He would really enjoy sparks flying when that thing is placed in water. "Uhh...Mike?". Mike snapped out from his trance when Callie spoke. "Ye-yeah?", Mike stuttered. "Your eyes were black and a white pupil was in the middle. Are you ok?", Callie said with a worried look. 'Wait, is that even possible?', Mike thought. "What are you talking about? My eyes are completely normal."

"Mike, I swear. I saw those weird kind of eyes in you. You're not possessed, are you?"

"No. If I was, I could have killed you now.Right?"

"Uh, good point. Let's just focus. The bunny is at the left door again."

Mike pushed the door button then, the left door closed. He checked the clock on the tablet, it read 5:00 am. 'Only an hour left.', Mike thought. He checked the cameras again. The bunny was still at the door but Callie was taking care of it. The chicken was at the East Hall. He warned her about that. The fox was still in Pirate's cove and the bear was still on stage. After 5 minutes, the chicken was at the right door but Callie closed the right door and opened back the left door since the bunny had left. Mike checked the power, it was 28%. He checked the watch, it read 5:40 am. 'Almost there.' After 20 minutes, a bell rang. The shift has end. They walked out of the room. Callie exhaled and shouted,"Finally, we don't have to go back to this hell hole." "Yeah, finally.", Mike smiled. Suddenly, his phone rang. He answered the call,

"Hello?"

"Mike Schmidt! It's the manager. I hear you've survived."

Mike smiled."Oh, hi! Yeah, I did. Uh...when do I get my check?"

"Oh, your check? Only after 4 nights here."

"Fo-four nights?", Mike was terrified and Callie was too.

"Yes, you just finished the first night. Now, you have 4 nights to complete to get your check."

"O-ok." Mike said goodbye and ended the call. He turned to Callie and found her very nervous. Mike was nervous as well. This was his new job. It was to spend five nights at freddy's.
