He looked deep into my eyes, and I knew he saw the pain reflected in them. He stared deep, and read all of the despair, the misery, and the ache, just written there like a book. He took my hands and caressed them, how soft and tender his hands were around mine. He caressed them as if holding a butterfly between his palms, then slowly, and steadily, he brought our hands to to his lips and placed a kiss as soft as cotton on the back of mine, and then he was gone.. Not a single word, no, "i love you" or "good bye".As quickly as he had come into my life he was gone. I fell to my knees and let all the anguish wash over me, I screamed out his name as he left, but he did not turn. I didn't cry, only sat there in my own pool of anguish and misery. I watched him walk away, I could have chased him, I could have followed, but I stood there, stationary, like a mannequin glued to the ground.
