Elizabeth's POV:
I felt the smile etch itself onto my face as I took in the familiar sights of the town that I grew up it from my seats window.
Relief washing over me as I realise that it hasn't changed one hit.
The excitement flooded into me as it finally sank in that I would be seeing my dad again. The smile on my face only getting bigger.
-
The smile remained on my face as I collected my luggage. I looked around in attempt to spot my dad, and to my luck I spot him almost instantly.
I giggle as I notice that he looks out of place in such a busy setting. I immediately run over to him, making sure that my suitcase is also following me in pursuit.
As soon as I reach over to him, I almost immediately pull him into a hug. I can tell that it shocks him by how he stiffens at my touch, but to my relief he soon relaxes into my embrace and returns the hug.
I pull away, the smile still intact, as tears gather in my eyes as it only just hits me how much I truly missed him whilst I was away.
"dad" , I breathe out as the tears threaten to spill.
"hi sweetheart," he replies, a warm smile on his face."I missed you so much" he states as a tear escapes my eye. I begin to nod excessively as I once again pull him back into my embrace and whisper, "I missed you too dad"
I can feel his smile grow wider as he pulls away and grabs my suitcases. "Come on Lizzie let's get you home"
It was only then that I realised that we were still in the airport. A blush making its way onto my cheeks as I sheepishly nod and make my way to his car.
It is then that it hits me.
"Hey dad. Didn't Bells also move in not too long ago"
He sighs and nods in reply. A solemn look on his face, which I don't seem to understand.
"How is she? I haven't seen her in years." I ask, curiosity making its way into me as I realise how long it has been since I last spoke to my sister.
"Liz," he sighs "She's not doing all to well actually. She rarely leaves her room and doesn't talk to anyone. I'm quite worried about her actually"
It was only then that the smile on my face falters as I take in what he has said. A sigh now leaving my mouth as I look over to face him, a small, sad smile making its way onto my face.
"Don't worry dad, I'm here now. Hopefully she will atleast talk to me, after all it has been years since we last caught up."
After hearing this my dad nods, his frown now taken over by a warm, comforting smile as he glimpses over at me before returning his focus to the road.
"I really did miss you Lizzie."
I smile again at this.
"And I you dad"

OMG!
As soon as I had the idea I knew that I had to quickly write it and I am really happy with how it turned out.
Let me know your opinions, it would really help.
