As Percy Jackson calmly walked home from a rough day at school he came across an alleyway, dark, eerily quiet, grungy, and covered with grime and trash bags. Although the alleyway was one of the worst he had ever seen, that wasn't what had attracted his attention, the glowing mist that was at the far end of it was what he was most interested in. He glanced at his watch and decided that he had enough time before his curfew to take a quick look. As he stepped forward into the alley it seemed like the mist was goading him towards the further end of the alley, coaxing him to continue on; unconsciously he started to move forward stepping over the mounds of trash and other unknown things in the alleyway, focusing on the mist.

Suddenly when he was right in front of it, the mist started to reach around him and tug him into itself as if a sentient being reaching to hug it's lost lover. As it started to do so, Percy finally woke up from his reverie and started to struggle against the mist's strong hold against him when suddenly he felt the mist turn into a solid body, the body of what just so happened to be a certain son of Zeus whom quite often was known to hold ill will against the child of Poseidon.

As Percy continued to struggle against the god, Ares had finally had enough and gruffly told the younger male, "If you don't stop wiggling now, your going to get into even more trouble Perseus Jackson."  As Percy stilled against the older male's chest he was suddenly hyper-aware of the way that Ares was holding him.  As he continued to hold as still as possible so as not to upset the god, he noticed a hand right on his lower back that was gripping his hip, another that gripped the nape of his neck, and the fact that Ares had his chin resting upon his shoulder helped with nothing to hide the shivers that ran down the demigod's spine at each breath of air released from the god's nose.

Ares noticed the shivers going down the young-adults spine at each of his breaths and smirked, blowing a small stream of air straight onto Percy's spine to watch his reaction.  After a minute or two of them standing like this Percy finally gets the courage to speak, "W-why are you hugging me Ares?" cursing his slight stutter he gulps and squares up his shoulders as much as he can while being held as he was, as he awaited his answer.  Ares's answer was highly unexpected to to the Hero of Olympus being that of, "Because I can... And I'm kidnapping you."  Slightly shocked Percy goes to respond when Ares moves his hand to do what seems like squeezing the back of Percy's neck; only for the poor Hero to start blacking out.  The only thing that he heard as he blacked out was, "See you later my love..."

A/N:

¡Hola! My name is Kai and I'm a newer writer who writes many different types of things, from fanfics to mythology; as seen in this specific story, both.  I've been studying mythology ever since I was knee-high, but I've never actually read any of the PJO series, only the first Magnus Chase book.  But I do tons of research and find corresponding details in other pjo fanfics that I read... If there is any wrong details in specific parts of the main timeline that I mess up please let me know NICELY, I will try and correct it unless there is a direct reason that I can explain as to why I wrote the story that way. ✌☺
