An Unlikely Desire (Tom Hiddleston x Reader)

A New Adventure

         We were finally relaxing at a small café when I got a call on my work phone. I answered it and got told I am being reassigned to a base in London and will be working a security detail. I was angry and confused but of course I didn't say anything. Orders are orders and knowing how my parents reacted after I called them and told them everything that happened something tells me the old man pulled strings. I swear I am 26 and a Captain in the Marine Corps but he still treats me like a baby. I tell Megs and Tiff and they are so excited and start talking about when they can visit me and explore and even go to Ireland so we can stay at Megs place.

           I am finally in London and it has been 2 months since the incident at Comic Con and my thigh is fine and I am almost at 100 percent. I have this cute little apartment and I made it my home since I have no idea how long I will be doing this. Might as well embrace this new chapter of my life. I already checked in with my superiors and I meet the rich guy I will be leading security for tomorrow. Yay me. Ugh this sucks. Tiffani is in wedded bliss hopefully making me an aunt here soon and Megs gets to live it up in Texas with cowboys and trucks. Yet, here I am in the London rain having to work security not exactly what I wanted in life but fine.

       I make it through the day and go to the office where I am to meet Mr. Boss Man and his assistant. I don't have to wear my uniform while doing this gig so I ended up buying a lot of tailored suits in black and navy blue. Say what you want about the British but they can tailor some suits. I decided on a black one today to match my feelings on this and put my long hair in a bun on the top of my head. I am driving to the building when I get a three way call with Tiff and Megs. They are up super late just to say good luck and they can't wait to fly out to see me. I tell them thanks, hang up and go to check in at the building. I am already pissed because this damn country does tea instead of coffee and I need my coffee fix and haven't found any place with decent coffee.

         A security guard takes me up the building to a room where I meet the assistant Johnson. He's pretty cool and really friendly. Says he's so happy to work with me and blah blah blah I just politely smile and follow him to an office where I am supposed to meet Boss Man. I walk in after him and look at the conference room with people and I see the main man everyone is focused on and think to myself as soon as the same icy eyes that had been haunting my dreams for the last two months, you've got to be kidding me. Sitting in the center of the table was none other than Tom Hiddleston himself. As soon as his eyes rested on mine he smiled, got up and started walking towards me.

       "Ah Ms. (L/n) thank you for taking this job. I am excited to have you as part of my team" He said with a glimmer in his eyes as he then proceeds to put a hand out for me to shake. I just looked at him and shook his hand before replying "I believe I didn't have a choice Mr. Hiddleston."

        He actually bothered looking sheepish and said, "yes my apologies about that, the man who was aiming for me at Comic Con was my old head of security." I shook my head in confusion and disgust, I looked at him and said "that's horrible for many reasons but regardless of circumstances I am here now and I take this job seriously you won't have to worry about your safety while I am around." Maybe just your clothing I thought as he smiled and I pictured what he actually looked like under that blue tailored suit he was sporting. I tried to keep my mind from the dirty thought as we went over all the legal aspects and had me sign some paperwork. He then introduced me to everyone though asking names would be pointless as I'm pretty sure I was staring at his backside the entire time, and we got started on his schedule and security details.

            I began explaining to him that until I was fully able to assess his security team I will be with him at all times for everything. "Oh are you sure?" he asked hesitantly and I said "yes it's necessary until I am able to make sure I can trust everyone. I might be small Mr. Hiddleston but I am thorough and great at my job" I reassured him. He looked taken aback and gave me a small smile in return and said "I have no doubt you are the best at your job." We all left and got ready to leave for a press tour that would start in Korea then Russia and finish in the States. I called Tiff and Megs on a three way call and told them everything which resulted in more piercing screams and requests to meet all his friends. During the call Megs confessed that she left dads and mine info at the hospital for Mr. Hiddleston and that's how this all happened. I swear my friends are worse than a Chinese matchmaker. I'm not sure what they assumed would happen anyways. Our relationship would be strictly professional though I would not deny myself the opportunity to admire such a handsome man.
