A/N: Sorry it's been a while since I've updated! I'm in school, so things can get pretty hectic. Thankfully, I have a bit of a break now and Criminal Minds being uploaded to Disney+ has given me some new inspiration. Thanks for reading! Please let me know what you think and any recommendations you have in the comments. Also, this chapter is about double the length of the other ones because I wanted to go through the case in detail throughout the fic, similar to an actual episode.

"Sir," you ran, trying to catch up with Hotchner. "Am I not supposed to be shadowing right now as opposed to interviewing loved ones?"
Hotch turned to face you. "You are closest to the girls age and a female. I think they would be most likely to talk to you. If you truly don't want to, I'll send J.J. in --"
"It's okay, I'll do it," you said, taking a deep breath. Like he said, this was your first chance to prove yourself.

"Hi, Anna. My name is Y/N," you calmly said, sitting down across from Chelsea's best friend. "I'm sorry to be meeting you under these circumstances, but I wanted to ask you a few questions about the night Chelsea went missing."
"I already told the other officers, it was like any other night we went out. We got there around 11:30 and left at 2:00. Chelsea is... was... a very pretty girl, so she always had guys buying her drinks," Anna said, crossing her arms.
"Were there any men that stood out that night? Perhaps they paid special attention to her?"
"They all gave her attention. She'd usually dance with them for a couple songs, convince them to buy us all a round of drinks, then say she was going to the bathroom and we'd ditch the guy."
"Did any of the men get upset after?"
"I'm not too sure -- we would always move to another area of the bar so that we were less likely to run into them again, or at the end of the night we would just leave the bar. When we left that night, we got in separate Uber's and that was the last time I saw her," Anna began to tear up.
"Okay," you said, unsure of what else to ask. "Is there anything else you can remember about that night?"
"No," Anna looked exhausted and helpless. You couldn't blame her.
"Thank you for speaking with me," you said. "Here's my card if you think of anything else," handing her your FBI contact card, you had to admit it was a little exciting getting to give your card to someone for the first time.
You walked out of the room to where Hotch, Reid, and J.J. were standing in front of the two way mirror.
"I'm sorry I couldn't get any more information," you said, your head hung lowly.
"It's okay," Hotch said. "Sometimes there's no more information to get. You did the best you could. The next interview is in half an hour."
Hotch and J.J. walked away and you were left with Reid.
"Did I do okay?" You asked.
"Yeah," Reid turned to you. "You did fine. Like Hotch said, sometime witnesses don't have any extra information at the time. That's why we give them our cards."
"I was a little happy to be able to had out my first official FBI card," you smiled.
Reid smiled back at you. "Yeah I remember my first time...," he looked mildly horrified. "I mean my first time giving out my contact card! Not the first time I did other stuff."
You tried to suppress a grin. "Well considering your eidetic memory, I'm sure you could remember the other stuff too." You couldn't believe you just said that. How embarrassing.
