Poem #3

In front of others, she always smiles

Surely bright and full of life

Misunderstood and misconceived

The ones around say "She's okay! Full of joy that one!" they say

Yet they don't ask "How was your day?"

Deep down inside a fire lingers

The urge to destroy comes nearer

Blinding her eyes of bottled up feelings

Making her weaker and weaker and weaker

She prays that one day someone will listen

Listen to her pain, see tears that glisten

She prays one day someone will truly hear

Hear how she feels and what makes her sad

One day she finally understands

She cannot wait forever.

The only savior, is herself

Deep down she is a cry for help

She does not know, she's not alone

People near her share her woe

She has never been alone

All take pain in various ways

Though some perhaps may not show

The only way to cure this disease

Is by letting it go.

I feel this is the sad reality of many. But do know my friends, you are not alone, there are others too. Remember, all your feelings are valid. If anyone ever needs to talk, I'm open.
