In the moving car we hear nothing but silence, the only thing being near to our hearing is the sound of speaking from the radio.
Byul looks at me as she awkwardly pulls out her phone, slowly looking at the front to see if the managers were looking. She nudged me a little, quickly getting the hint that she wanted to tell me something.
"What are we gonna do?" She mouthed, softly pointing at her phone's screen.
"I can't just tell them to stop." I mouthed back to her as she clicked her tongue. She was about to call out to her manager but they called her first.
"So, what do you plan on doing today? It looked like you both were kind of flustered when we asked you to come back with us. Did we interrupt anything?" He suddenly asked, making us immediatly hesitant to answer.
I cleared my throat to answer but I was cut of by Byul's sudden tight grip on my hand, hinting that I stop talking. She side eyed me and I stopped.
"Actually, we were about to go to this café near the hospital but since you came to pick us up-I guess we have no other choice but go to a different café near the company." She told her, a little like she was trying to convince her manager that we weren't about to meet our friends, which was a little strange because they did know that we were all friends but why did she need to lie? But even with that I just shrugged it off.
"Oh? You were supposed to go to a café huh, well where do you want us to drop you two instead then?" Her manager asked, "It's fine if you just drop us at the company, my car's still there from when I left it last night."
I looked at her confused because I clearly remember that she said she didn't stay at work till the only the afternoon. I accidentally glare at her a little, causing a sudden tension between the three of us. I look away and decided to look at my phone instead, coincidentally her manager just closed the window and left both of us unheared from the other side.
"Hey." She called out, I turn to her as she continued, "Why'd you look at me like that earlier? Did I say something that bothered you?" She spoke quietly, almost sounding like she was guilty of something she didn't even know of.
"No, I was just surprised because you made something up-about the meeting with Deulie I mean, plus why didn't you tell me you stayed later at the company..." I told her with a slight feeling of sadness as to why she couldn't just tell me.
"Jinnie, are you angry?" She put her hand to my cheek as I looked at her face, a small smile forming on her lips.
"What's funny." I said in a serious tone, making it clear I was upset. But this just made her chuckle a little more, which made me pout at how she was acting towards me.
"Okay okay, I'm sorry~." She giggled, lifting my hand to her cheek now. I tensed ko up again when she did that little thing. Always putiting me on the spot to react to how she was being all cute and romantic, a side that I never knew was really there until saw it when we started dating.
"Why did you do it t-then? I know you have reasons." I stuttered as I started getting flustered at her skinship.
"Well, they actually started saying that I limit seeing you guys, they said if we all met together while not saying any statements to the public yet, there was a high possibility that dispatch may find us and use our pictures for malicious news and wrong reports." She sighed as she continued what she was saying, "And about the staying late at work is because of this, I didn't want you to worry too much so decided not to tell you, I'm sorry."
