Song recommendation: Thousand Years by Christina Perri"Dad.." Soonyoung said as he approached his father that was on the bed doing nothing but laying down for the past three days. "Will you come and eat today?" he asked carefully and mentally sighed when he saw him shake his head "Please, dad. You haven't eaten anything in three days.." silence was the only answer he got, the sixteen year old frowned and went to the dining area where his brother and father were sitting.
"Does he not want to come?" Soonyoung shook his head, a frown still plastered on his face.
Seungcheol got up and signed Soonyoung to sit down and eat along with Wonwoo before making his way to his shared bedroom with Jeonghan.
Seungcheol was patient with Jeonghan for the past three days, letting him take his time for recovery, but now it's gotten out of hand. He doesn't talk. Doesn't eat. Hell, he doesn't even drink water!
He took a deep breath and sat at the edge of the bed with Jeonghan's back facing him "Hannie, can you please look at me?" Jeonghan shook his head "Can you at least get out of bed and look at me?" the younger shook his head again making Seungcheol sigh and go to the other side of the bed so he could see Jeonghan's face. As soon as the younger noticed his action and hid his face under the covers "Choi Jeonghan if you don't show me your face I won't let you sleep in peace tonight!" Seungcheol demanded hoping that the younger would cooperate, but all he got in response was sniffles.
His expression softened as he gently pulled the covers away from the younger's face to expose his tear stained cheeks and messy hair "hannie.." Seungcheol whispered, broken at the sight as he stretched his arm forward to cup his husband's face, but the other lowered his face as he let his tears fall and his sobs to fill the silent room.
The older picked Jeonghan up and set him on his lap, holding him as close to him as possible. Jeonghan felt too weak to fight back any longer and it himself to get comforted by his husband "I don't w-want it to go. I-I'm s-sorry-" the younger cut himself off with another loud sob as he clung to his husband as tight as he could.
Jeonghan's state hurt Seungcheol more than anything. His weak voice. His sad face. Everything Jeonghan was doing now made Seungcheol cry.
Right. The miscarriage hurt him too, but Jeonghan being hurt damaged him even more.
Tears left his eyes as he straightened Jeonghan by sitting him up on his lap "Jeonghan, it's not your fault. Say it with me. It's not your fault" Jeonghan shut his eyes closed and shook his head, refusing to believe what his husband was telling him. Jeonghan's legs were on both sides of his husband as he sat on Seungcheol's lap. "It's not your fault. Please, believe me," the older cupped Jeonghan's face and let their foreheads touch as both their tears went down their faces "please.." he whispered looking into the younger's shut closed eyes. "the baby w-was in me, he or she died i-in me. B-blood was everywhere. It hurts. S-scary" Seungcheol close his eyes causing more tears to flow out, as he listened to Jeonghan's words intently when he spoke, soon realizing he was trying to explain the incident that happened three days ago.
"He was scared...he felt hurt" Seungcheol thought.
The older opened his eyes and kissed every single tear that fell from Jeonghan's eyes.
Cheeks. Nose. Chin. Lips.
He lightly pecked the younger's lips and he felt him tense in his embrace.
"Seungcheol" Jeonghan thought.
The peck felt like a wake up call to Jeonghan.
"Seungcheol" he whispered as he opened his eyes, his sobs and tears finally coming to an end.
"He's crying.." Jeonghan gasped at the sight of his husband's tear and snot covered face. He wiped the tears.
"I forgot about Seungcheol...he's hurt but I wasn't there to comfort him..."
Jeonghan felt selfish, but he knew that he could fix this. He set his feelings aside and got up from Seungcheol's lap. He wrapped his arms around Seungcheol and rocked him back and forth like a baby "I'm sorry for being selfish...I love you so don't cry my love" Jeonghan's voice still weak and hoarse but it made Seungcheol all giddy inside. Hearing the words that he used to say to Jeonghan being said back to him by his one and only lover felt so calming and gentle.
Jeonghan repeated those words over and over again and continued rock Seungcheol until he found the older asleep in his arms "He must be tired himself out taking care of Wonwoo and Soonyoung all alone" Jeonghan smiled and pecked his husband's temple.
He looked at the time, 8:54 pm. He got up and decided to take a shower, feeling absolutely disgusted for staying in bed for three days straight.
Jeonghan looked at himself in the mirror and chuckled "what a mess" he thought. His hair was everywhere and very oily. His eyes were puffy and red from all the crying. He brushed his teeth before stripping to take a shower.
Soonyoung noticed how quiet it suddenly got. He couldn't hear any of his fathers' cries and sobs. "Is it finally over?" he thought.
With a clingy Wonwoo in his arms, he made his way to their parent's room. "Dad?" he called expecting Seungcheol to come out, but instead, it was a freshly showered and clean Jeonghan. He gasped at the sight and immediately his jaw dropped making Jeonghan chuckle. "Dad! How are you feeling now? Oh my God...are you hungry? What type of question is that of course, you are. I'll go ma-" his random blabbering was cut off by a familiar warm embrace
"Shh, I'm okay now. You don't have to worry"
The chapter is exactly 1004 words so I'll stop it at that hehe
Looks like Jeonghan is feeling better now :) ...or is he?
Hehe
Bye loves~
