A daughter without a father a life shatter,
It's not that you didn't know he would go but with the dreams and desires you've weaved,
You hoped he would be there to see you through every little journey that life leads you on,
Yet here you are looking to say your final good bye.
I cannot lie, or can I pretend that I did not want to see him there by your side as you finish med school or by your side when prince charming came and sweep you off your feet making you the most beautiful bride there can be,
I cannot fathom the ways of life, or can I turn back the hands of time because if I could you would have your father for a lifetime.
Death has broken your world, chiselled a constant loss in your heart,
It might have even left you broken but know that the memories that you have created with your father over the years are the balm to your broken heart,
His little girl, his forever joy
Daddy's little princess.
A forever love that death cannot break
grows inside you and blossoms to soothe every ache,
Tiny fingers held in a huge warm palm, When he looked down at you his heart filled with unconditional love because a father knows that a daughter is a treasure,
He vowed to protect you from all harm and to the best of his ability and despite the odds he did,
Don't despair he has not broken the vow, he just went to heaven so that he can continue on as you're Guardian Angel.
Cry your tears, say your goodbye, but never forget the memories of a father that loved,
This is the cloak for a broken girl who will rise to smile as a father never goes away as in your heart they live forever and stay.
