Ch.12

Shawn's pov:

It's been two weeks since we went skiing and I have talked to Brooke but more like waving and small talk but oh yeah, I have a girlfriend, Lauren.
I really do love Lauren but there's always the thought of Brooke that pops back in my head so I have been ignoring her.
Today is Friday and it's finally January but I want winter to be over, I hate the cold.
Tonight I am going to the movies with Lauren, Brian and Brooke.
I guess it's a double date but I'm not completely sure how to feel about it.
I just got in my car to pick everyone up and first stop is Brooke's house.

Brooke's pov :

" Hey shawnie" I said as I closed the door.

"Hey um can you sit in the back seat"he said

"Sure" I said while unbuckling the seatbelt.
I sat in the back and then we pulled into Lauren's house.
She came out with a crop top with a jacket on top and leggings and I know that not completely slutty but she found a way to make it.
"Hey baby" she said and nearly made out with Shawn in front of me.
We began pulling out of the driveway and she pulled down the mirror for her makeup even though she had a ton on.
She grabbed some really nasty glossy lip gloss and began applying it on.
Lauren looked in and saw me in the background.
"Oh my gosh Brooke is here!?" She asked
"Yeah" Shawn said not paying attention.
"You can barely notice her here" she said and laughed.
I rolled my eyes as we pulled up to Brian's house.

Shawn's pov:

I looked in my mirror and saw Brooke straighten up as we pulled up to Brian's house. She fixed her hair and waited.
Brian opened the door and said, "hi"
" hi" she said as her cheeks flushed.
"Okay let's go" I said a bit annoyed.
Maybe I'm not jealous , I might just want to protect her.

- later on-

We pulled up to the movies and I walked in hand in hand with Lauren.
I turned around and saw Brian's hand move close to Brooke's. She laughed and got red.
I turned back around and we got our tickets.

Later on in the middle of the movie, Lauren poked me and slightly raised her voice and said, " can you get me some popcorn?"
"Yeah sure" I said and got up.
Once I headed outside, I groaned.
"Hey" I heard a voice say behind me.
It was brooke.
"Oh hi" I said
" Are you okay?" She asked
"yeah"
"Are you happy with lauren?" she asked
"Yes, why?"
" I don't know , I feel you deserve someone who loves you better" she said

"Yeah well...,why are you out here?"

"Oh yeah! I'm so nervous!! I keep getting red when I talk to Brian or anthing " she laughed jumping up and down.
I ordered the popcorn and
as we were walking back to the theater I was relizing what huge mistake I made. I mean I love Lauren... a lot but Brooke and I just click...
"wait we can't go back there yet" I state grabbing her wrist.
she looks at me with a puzzled face.
