Chapter 7. "Grandma"

I finally decided on "Bates Motel" which was one of our favorites after "American horror story." We sat there eating Oreos and popcorn while drinking strawberry lemonade. Which were my favorites. By the time we finished season two. I clicked the top button of my phone to check the time. 7:45.
"Shit I have to be home but 8:10. My grandma was very strict but sweet.
"I'll drive you." Emma said jumping to her feet. Finishing the last of her lemonade.

"Bye Al."
"Bye Em." I said chuckling a bit.

"Alex!" My grandma yelled from the dinning room.
"Fuck." I said under my breath.
"Yes gram?" I said trying not sound suspicious.
"Get over here." I walked over to see my older brother. He stood up in his uniform. I was so shock. I ran up to him and gave him a huge bear hug.
"Hey little sis." I felt tears of joy start to well up.
"Neil you're back." I said releasing from the hug and looking at his face. Neil has been in the Air Force for about 4 years now. He left right when my parents died.
"Yeah I am but only for a week."
" well that's just enough time." Giving him another tight squeeze.
"Alex you'll see him tomorrow. Now time for bed." Grandma said. I glanced at the clock. Not realizing how late it is.
"Well goodnight little sis. We will go to the movies when you get out of school."
"Okay nigh grams night bro."

I got in the shower. Turning up the temp high. Then I plopped onto the ground. Letting the hot water pierce my back.
*flashback*
Neil didn't come to the funeral and he was never home either. Until one day I heard banging around up stairs. I grabbed a bat thinking it was a robber. I walked closer and closer to the noise that lead straight to Neil's room. I was shocked to see Neil after weeks of not. He had a back all packed.
"Neil-" I forced myself to talk. He just brushed past me and left.
