I.

The cool water rushing at the river glowed like jewels as sunset have finally arrived here in Paris.

The Seine was unusually quiet today, except for the current rushing gently and the occassional gondolas and boats passed nearby.

With my DSLR camera,I took pictures for my priceless mementos - everything that centres the magnifique (I used a French word!) bridge and river. I even took some snapshots at the famous bridge that has a hundred,no, thousands of locks with their owners' names written and latched at the metal bridge named Pont de l'Archevêché. I zoomed in at the locks to get the names right. A lot of couples from all over the world latched their names, even the French locals' iconic names were etched at their padlocks, too.

Here are some names:

John and Mary,

Louis et Marie,

Étienne et Anne,

Adolfo y Christina,

Ludwig und Olga, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.

Below their names are the phrases, "I Love You" in different languages and "Je't aime, toujours" and "our love is forever", stuff like that.

It is a famous Parisian belief that a couple should write their names in a padlock and latch it at the bridge, then they should throw the key to the Seine so that the love between the couple became locked and sealed forever.

Well, after all,it's the City of Love,so nobody argued. I wonder,if the couples latching their love locks in the bridge have their happy endings together. I closed my eyes, and took a deep breath - to feel the ambiance of the whole place, and surely, I slowly felt it.

I heard a giggling from nearby, and I turned to see an American couple on their honeymoon,

I assume, latching their love lock in the bridge.

"You ready to throw the key, sugar?"

The man - a tall blonde - held the brunette woman in the shoulders.

"Ready, sugar," the woman giggled, and together, they threw the key to the Seine.

The next thing they did made me extremely out of place - they started kissing each other, rather soundly.

Note to self: expect a kissing couple just right at your corner when you are in the City of Love.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot, today's Valentine's Day, February 14,2015.

No wonder the Eiffel Tower was really crowded today - it reeked of snogging couples, French or not. Here in an innocent Parisian suburb it was really serene and quiet, maybe everyone have gone at the Eiffel Tower,or somewhere where they think is romantic.

What can I say, 'cant argue with the City of Love.

They celebrate today for what their city is mostly famous of.
