Hierarchy

Alright before we start, here's the hierarchy:

Red, Blue and Yellow Diamonds:
Top of the hierarchy.
Complete control of the school.
Can select one person to be under their protection, making that person untouchable. They are the Crystals.
Selects the Pearls with the Gems.
Give orders to the Gems and the Pearls.

Topaz, Sapphire and Ruby Gems:
Middle of the hierarchy.
Some control over the school
Gives the other students their social standing with them, the Diamonds and the Pearls via chess pieces (Rooks are the highest, Pawns are the lowest).
Help the Diamonds choose the Pearls.
Helps the Pearls execute the Diamonds plans.

Red, Blue and Yellow Pearls:
Bottom of the hierarchy.
No control over the school, but is well respected.
Digs up dirt on the bullies and bad faculty members.
Helps the Gems execute the Diamonds plans.

The Pearls are first year students:
Lucien Halliet - Red Pearl
Eliza Garcia - Yellow Pearl
Jade Dupain-Cheng - Blue Pearl

The Gems are second year students:
Marina Sonati - Ruby
Miele Cartier-Jackson - Sapphire
Carter Halliet- Topaz

The Diamonds are third year students, along with their Crystals:

Diamonds:
Nathaniel Kurtzberg - Red Diamond
Chloe Bourgeois - Yellow Diamond
Marinette Dupain-Cheng - Blue Diamond

Crystals:
Marc Anciel - Red Crystal
Zoe Lee - Yellow Crystal
Adrien Agreste - Blue Crystal

When the Diamonds and Crystals graduate, the Gems will take their place, becoming the Diamonds, and the Pearls will take theirs, becoming the Gems. Together they will select three new Pearls and their Crystals.
