I pulled down the shirt sequin skirt my friends practically forced me to wear, feeling uncomfortable already as I entered the club. My friends Kaitlyn and Taylor went here almost every night it seemed like, so this night was no different except this time they made me come.

"Come on it's gonna be so fun!" Squealed Kaitlyn as she grabbed my arm, pulling me deeper into the club, the music getting louder with each step.

" yeah come on y/n I know you just broke up with your boyfriend but you really need to let loose and have fun!" Taylor chimed in.

I winced at the mentioned of my breakup, not wanting to remember it. It had been a draining and abusive relationship, he never hurt me, if you don't count the hours of insults and just cruel words that were thrown my way. I was convinced I could change him but I was clearly wrong.

The girls both noticed my forlorn expression and stopped rushing through the club, sharing a cornered expression with one another than looking up at me.

"You know, we don't have to do this if you don't want to," Taylor said guiltily.

"Taylors right we can just go home if you want and have a girls night just staying up late and watching movies!"

I looked at the two girls, as much as we were very different from one another we would honestly do anything for one another. They were my best friends.

I took a deep breath. Taylor and Kaitlyn did help me out of my toxic relationship, and who knows I might actually have fun with them. I decided I owed them this much for all they have done for me.

I smiled, "no let's go, I'm so ready to have fun tonight."

"Yay!!!" They both squealed in unison, "let's do this!"

~time skip~

An hour later I was exhausted, all three of us had been dancing the entire time.

"I kinda have a headache, I'm going to go relax and get some water," I said tiredly. Both the girls didn't notice, they had each just found a guy to dance with.

"Alright then." I sighed, making my way on the outside of the dance floor, and grabbing a water bottle. I observed my surroundings for the first time the night, taking in the whole scene. There were lights of all sorts of colors, illuminating the dark club with flickers of mainly purples and blues. I began to look at all the different people there, when all of a sudden I feel a presence staring at me. I look to my right directly across the club to see a tall male figure standing in the darkness. My breath hitched when he began to step into the lights. He was the most attractive person I had ever seen. He was tall, but not too tall, and walked with a casual confidence. His blonde hair was parted down the middle and slightly messy which I found cute, his fingers running through it every so often. He walked over to me, giving me a somewhat shy smile, smirking once he saw how much I was blushing.

"Hey I saw you across the room and I couldn't help but think how we are in a very similar situation." the handsome stranger said, with a crooked smile.

"What do you mean, like your friends practically forced you to come here with them?" I said jokingly.

He chucked, "yes that's exactly my situation as well."

I smiled, and suddenly feeling shy I looked down, when all of a sudden I heard the song everybody by the Backstreet Boys start to blast from the speakers, making everybody scream like crazy, it was no secret that the Backstreet Boys were one of the most popular bands in music right now, this song being their newest single. As for me I didn't listen to too much pop music, but I did always like this song when I heard it on the radio.

I looked up at the stranger again, feeling a little bit better about myself.

"So do you want to dance?" He said softly in a lower voice as he leaned into me.

"That sounds great, except for one thing," I breathed.

He suddenly looked curious, and tilted his head slightly at me. "What is it?"

"I don't know your name." I replied.

He smiled again, this time showing his perfect white teeth. "Well my name is nick."

I blushed,"cool, my name is y/n."

"Well y/n, I say let's go dance," he whispered in my ear, slowly wrapping his arm around my hip, leading me to the dance floor.

We danced up against each other, moving to the beat as the Backstreet Boys song continued. I noticed that he was humming quietly along to the song, "wow do you actually know the words to this song?"

"Maybe," he replied, smiling mischievously. He leaned even closer into me, gripping both my hips with his hands softly as we continued to sway to the beat, his soft lips by my ear. He quietly began to sing.

"Am I original?"

"Am I the only one?"

"Wow you're a very good singer," I murmured. I had never felt this attracted to someone in my life, way more than any boyfriends I had ever had.

As he began to sing "am I sexual?" he pulled my body even closer to his, leaving no inches of space in between us.

All of a sudden I had a realization. His voice.... it was so familiar. It almost sounded exactly like some parts in the song, and I swear I had seen someone who looked like him on tv.

I pulled away from him, staring at him open mouthed with shock.

"Finally figured it out have you?" He grinned tilting my chin up to look at him closer.

"It's your voice isn't it? It's you! You're in the Backstreet Boys!" I gasped.

"Shhhh," he whispered in my ear. "We can't have everyone here finding out. There's not many times I can go places anonymous."

"Right sorry," I whispered back.

"Now," he said slowly, grinning down at me, "where exactly were we?"

"Ummm I think at the part where you asked me if you were sexual?" I tried.

He laughed loudly, smiling as he did. He really has the best smile in the world.

"I think I like you a lot," he smiled, once again pulling me close to him.
