(Since this takes place in the 15th century, and that notre dame is a cathedral for Christianity I hope you don't mind have reader-Chan be a Christian woman. Other than that enjoy the story!!!)
I don't like being out in the open...people are staring...
You could hear the whispers from the townspeople around you, their judging eyes on you with frowns on their faces in disgust. Some looked irritated that your size was supposedly "taking up the whole store"...talk about over exaggerated much.
You weren't taking up the whole store...at least you don't think...
Just don't worry about them...pretend they aren't there...pretend they don't care.
You imaging that always helps, especially with your mind full of fictional imaginations and adventures. You've been that way since you were a little girl. You're parents, well mostly your father feared something was wrong with you. But your mother always was there to tell your father that you were blessed from God with a brain like yours. To this day...you still haven't figured out why your mother kept saying that.
You shook your head and gathered all your groceries and paid them in full. You exited the shop, ingredients in your basket with a cloth over them so they won't get dirty and headed back home. The town was lively as ever, shops on either side of you bustling with customers. Children playing tag as they scurried on the streets. The sun shines bright over us all, God blessing his children with his warmth.
The sound of music added to the busy streets which you wondered where it was coming from when you see...gypsies...playing music with their instruments and having a dancer move to the beat. They even have a little cute goat hopping with the dancer.
The gypsies have immigrated to Paris a long time ago, and as you can see just how people react to them...they believe that just because they have different skin color, strange wardrobe, and alluring aura makes them the children of the Devil. But you didn't believe that!! You always were so amazed and curious about them, what they think, how they are so talented with these tricks that they can do, especially during the Festival of Fools. THATS a festival you enjoy! But just because they are different doesn't mean that they are evil...
You gazed at the dancer banging his tambourine, his hips swaying and feet stomping to the music. A smile graced upon his handsome face. His green eyes sparkled with ecstatic. You've seen him around town a lot dancing and earning money on the streets. He doesn't get a lot but he doesn't mind dancing either way. You frowned and approached the gypsy bunch with your head held high.
You dig in your apron pocket with the leftover change you have from shopping and smiled at the group, dropping the money in the hat. You made eye contact with emerald eyes as he smiled at you and twirled, bowing to you like a prince. That made your heart beat faster and face grow hot. He stood back up still wearing his charming smile, a purple bandanna looks to be holding back his bangs, wavy jet black hair framing his face and went back to his dancing.
