Has anyone noticed that the five-horned Triceratops from Genndy Tartovsky's Primal looks remarkably similar to the Triceratops styrax found in ARK Survival: Evolved?
I wouldn't be surprised if Genndy Tartovsky and the team who worked on Primal got their inspiration for the five-horned Triceratops from Triceratops styrax. It has such a wonderful and unique design in my opinion: a fusion between Triceratops and Styracosaurus.
I'm always a fan of fantastical prehistoric worlds where the dinosaurs & creatures that lived there are so similar and yet so different to the valid creatures we have in paleontology. In the ARK world, Triceratops styrax roamed in huge herds and, according to the Dossier, show immense hostility to the arch-nemesis, the massive Tyrannosaurus dominum. It's nice to see some things never change.
