14 February 1998

Dear Kyle,

I miss you, my love.

It’s been a few weeks since you passed away but it feels like yesterday.

Our son is worried about me. In fact, he never leaves me out of his sight except at night when I go to bed. I guess he inherited his protectiveness from you.

Oh, I almost forgot, Happy Valentine’s day.

23 May 1999

Dear Kyle,

It’s been a year now and I still miss you.

It doesn’t hurt as much as it used to but it still hurts a lot. I really miss you, Kyle.

15 April 2000

Dear Kyle,

Would you believe it? Your granddaughter just had her first crush! Although I have to admit that the way she’s acting is adorable, I can’t help but to compare when I was her age and I had a crush on you.

8 June 2001

Dear Kyle,

I was cleaning the attic and do you know what I stumbled upon? My old love letters to you. This is the first love letter I ever wrote to you.

To: Kyle

From: Anna

Hi Kyle! Thank you so much for playing with me today. I was so sad when my cat ran away and you made my day. Would you be my best friend?

I remember sending this letter when I was six years old.

To: Kyle

From: Annabeth

I wish you weren’t moving away. I’m sorry I can’t say goodbye to you in person. You made me promise not to cry and I won’t but if I see you leave then I will. That’s why I’m writing you this letter. Kyle, if you come back one day, will you promise to be my best friend again? If better, would you be my husband?

24 December 2005

Dear Kyle,

I found another love letter. Who would’ve thought that it’s been under your side of the bed all this time!

To: Kyle

From: Annabeth

Hi Kyle. It’s Anna, I’m not sure if you still remember me though. We used to be neighbors when we were kids. That is, until you moved away.

I don’t know why I’m so scared right now but, would you like to hang out?

That was the first time we went out together.

15 January 2018

Dear Kyle,

It’s been twenty years now since you passed away. Would you believe how much time flies? Our granddaughter recently got married and she looked beautiful standing at the altar. Her new husband’s name is Richard. He’s a very nice young man and he loves our granddaughter very much.

I wish you were there to see it.

Even though it’s been so long, I still think of you every single day. I miss you

14 February 2024

Dear Kyle,

I’ve been diagnosed with cancer.

They say I won’t have long left to live. You should see our son. He’s fussing around me like a fly but I guess I can’t blame him.

He asked me why I’m not upset and my only answer is; I’ve lived my life.

I’ve been fighting this cancer for so long now. There’s nothing anyone can do at this point and stage. At least, I’d be able to see you again. Even writing this letter takes a lot of energy. Wait for me, Kyle.

20 July 2024

Dear grandpa,

This is Angie. Grandma passed away earlier today and she asked me to write this letter and burry it in her grave along with every other letters she wrote. She said she wanted you to read them when she meets you in Heaven.
