Atsumu awoke one morning; His body covered in a thin layer of sweat, head spinning and eyes unfocused.

He rolled over and grabbed his phone from his bedside table.

Omi❤️❤️:
>>>>We've left Tokyo. Be with you in a few hours.
>>>>Can't wait to see how much you've improved!

'Oh... Crap! I forgot we had a match! And I can't not go, we don't have another setter.' The blonde thought.

After debating with himself for a while, he got up ignoring how the room spun- and went to the bathroom. He showered, brushed his teeth and looked himself over in the mirror.

"Ya pale, Tsumu... Someone's bound ta notice." He said to himself. "Ya shouldn't have walked home in the rain!"

He threw on his kit and made his way to Inarizaki's gym.

"Atsumu! Finally! We didn't think you'd show." Suna teased.

"And let Ya'll try and play without the best setter ever? Never!" He smiled, though it was faked.

"Ya didn't wake up when I called ya this morning!" Osamu said.

"Yeah, I fell asleep with my headphones in and at full volume." He chuckled.

Osamu shrugged it off, knowing it was a usual occurrence.

The Blond twin sighed when everyone let him go and warm up. If He could hold out for the next few hours, He'd be fine. He was gonna play this match if he was sick or not- even if he didn't feel any better being there.

Things didn't improve as Itachiyama walked into the gym and Sakusa sat down on the bench. His dark eyes scanned the gym for Atsumu, who would have usually jumped on him by with a shout of the annoying (yet cute) Nickname he'd given him.

Eventually, the two lovers locked eyes and Sakusa shot Atsumu a small smile. It was always these matches that the pair enjoyed most. They were tough and long, each team feeding off the energy to win. The smiles quickly fade from both boys as their teams start to prepare for the match.

Or at least that's what Sakusa thought.

Atsumu's small smile appeared when he saw Sakusa walk in, much to Suna's entertainment, but it faded as soon as he turned away remembering his current state.

'Do not get too close ta him today! You are sick Tsumu. You have bad germs!' he thought.

The game began and Inarizaki were up to serve first. Atsumu decide to play it safe and went with his usual Jump float serve- all in small hope to land a service ace; which was thoroughly torn apart by Komori- Itachiyama's libero, getting the damn ball up.

Sakusa, however, kept his eyes trained to the blond, not in a romantic 'I'm so in love with you' kind of way but something more subconscious was telling him to keep an eye on his boyfriend, no matter how hard he tried to hide it.

As the game progressed, Sakusa could tell something was wrong. The game played smoothly- like normal, but Atsumu... Atsumu was weird; well weirder than usual. His serves were weaker, he missed his sets a few times and though it could hardly be distinguished from the exhaustion of playing- his face was more red than usual.

'We have a break coming up. I'll confront him then.' He thought.

As soon as the break started, Atsumu rushed off outside. The moment he was away from everyone he pressed the cool plastic of his water bottle against his cheeks.

"I really fuckin' hoped no one noticed my mistakes..." He said quietly to himself, leaning his head against the door.

"Omi'd fuckin' kill me fer getting sick." He muttered.
