Nightmare

Kokichis pov

I woke up to the sound of screaming. I ran to the kids room to find my son denji shaking in tears. Dice was sitting next to him trying to comfert him.

"hunny what's wrong" I asked scooping him up in my arms.

"I had a nightmare" he whimpered "it was dark and I couldn't find you anywhere"

"that was just a dream darling" I said gently "mommy and daddy would never leave you alone"

"and I'd protect you no matter what" dice said hugging his brother.

"do you want some hot chocolate baby?" I asked gently.

"mmm ok" he said taking my hand and walking downstairs with me.

I made them hot chocolate with marshmallows just the way they like it and handed it to them.

"thanks mommy" the boys chirped.

Kiibo came downstairs looking tired "what are you guys doing up at this time?"

"denji had a nightmare so I made them hot chocolate" I explained

"ah I see" he walked up and petted denji on the head "are you alright denji?"

"yeah I'm alright now daddy" he replied.

We sat up with the kids for a while until they both fell asleep. We carried them both upstairs and kissed them goodnight.

Kiibo wrapped his arms around my waist "well my dear shall we get going to bed?"

"yeah I'm pretty tired" I yawned.

He picked me up bridal style and carried me to bed. I cuddled into his chest and fell asleep with a peaceful smile on my face.
