I cross my legs as I sit at the empty bus stop. I glance down at my phone to see that it's one in the morning.
Sitting at a bus stop at one in the morning definitely isn't the safest thing to but, I mean I really don't have anything to loose at this point. Well, I am teaching at this private school so that's one thing going for me...I guess.
I don't even know why I'm sitting at a bus stop in the dark, I have a car And I don't even have a bus pass.
Actually, I do know why I'm here. Sitting here alone is the only place where I can catch my breath without feeling claustrophobic, The streets are empty, the wind is blowing, and not a single worry passes through my mind right now,
Standing up, I grab my purse and sling it over my shoulder.
Walking through my run down neighborhood I take a sharp turn and I walk up the back stairs of my apartment complex, I shuffle through my purse finding my key and opening my door. My apartment is always cold and empty, it's suffocating. The only evidence of my living there is my unmade bed. I have no pictures up, no fancy decorations just a table and a sofa. The only memories that I have sit locked up in a suitcase sitting on the floor of my closet.
I brush my teeth, wrap my blonde hair curly hair into a bun then I peel my clothes off and change before laying down.
I clothes my eyes and try to let sleep overcome me, but of course I can't sleep.
I guess I'm going to work sleepless. I stand up and walk to my computer to check my emails and do some extra work, and before I know it's 9 am
I take a steaming hot shower to remove all the evidence of my sleepless night, before going to my closet to pick out my outfit, and luckily the school that I teach at doesn't have a dress code so I settle on a dark green oversized flannel, a cropped black cami, wide legged black jeans, and black sneakers.
I walk to my mirror and stare at my warm brown skin to see that bags have settled in underneath my brown eyes. I let out a large sigh, I cover my imperfections up with makeup before heading to work.
I park my car in my own designated spot. I walk to the door and swipe my ID card against the scanner before the door opens up and I walk in.
This school gives no subtle hints that it's a private institution for the children of the rich and famous. I walk through the tall white hallways and look through the tall glass windows into the playground that is covered in carefully placed flowers and head of the arts swing sets and slides.
I walk to the back of the school and open up the doors to playground. My "classroom" is actually just a really large white tent next to the playground. The school board decided that since I teach botany, my class should be outside. I walk into the tent and look at all the metal tables and chair, checking to see if everything is just how I left it. I walk to the front and set my belongings down on my desk before I set up my lesson for today.
After 30 minutes the children come rushing in and taking their seats at the tables
"Good Morning my children" I say from my desk at the front of the tent.
"Good morning Ms.cover" they say as they take a seat at theirs tables.
" Hi ms.cover I like your outfit today" I hear a little voice say as I look at the first table next to my desk
" why thank you Sara. That is exactly why your my favorite student" I whisper into her ear and she giggles
Sara is my favorite child here by far. Shes a tiny 7 year old Asian girl with enough fashion sense to put me to shame.
I walk to the middle of the room
"So kids, I know that today we were supposed to be learning about sunflowers and maybe even plant our own... but since your class is ahead of the other class we can't move on with our lesson, but instead we are gonna learn how to recycle old paper and turn it  into new paper"
the room went completely silent
" come on guys, I promise it will be fun!" They let out some okays and some sad sigh
" I'll bring you guys donuts next time" I try to persuade them and they immediately let out cheers.
I put a video on about recycling paper on the projector and then take my seat and pull out my phone.
" aren't you supposed to be doing your job and teaching us? why are you on your phone" Hyo-ri gave me a quizzical look
" listen kid, when your my age you will understand that sometimes you need to take a break and let others do your work" I say while putting my shades back on my head and leaning back in my chair.
" your right Ms. C , maybe when I'm as old as a dinosaur I'll feel the same way" she let out a smirk
" wow... that was a low blow sara , you do know that I'm only 23, right?" I say as I place my head on the desk.
I slowly start to drift off to sleep when
"Ms.Covet" a kids yells out and I immediately Jump up from my desk
" what's wrong?!" I look at the kid
"I'm done." He let out with a smile
I let out a sigh of relief
" you guys aren't finished until every piece of paper on your desks are gone" I say while pointing at the multiple stacks of paper on the tables
" and Ms. Covet is just going to put her head down for a couple of minutes" I say while sitting and placing my head on my desk to resume my nap
I wake up to a startling "DING! DING!"
I lift my head up from my desk and look at the clock. It's 1:30, and it's time for them to go
" OKAY KIDS LISTEN UP! it's time for you guys to go I want you guys to pack up and throw your trash away" I say as I shove all my stuff into my purse and I fix my shades so that they cover my eyes. The kids do as they are told and wait patiently at their tables
" Good job guys today was really fun and you guys were very well behaved but, now I need all of my bus riders to go back in the building and wait with Ms. Johnson's class and I need all of my car riders to come with me to the playground" I say and all the kids scurry off to their designated location
I walk to the playground and sit next to sara on the slides. All the parents come to the playground to pick up the kids and I unfortunately have to wait until all of them are gone.
Sara jumps up and releases a deafening squeal and startles me
"Hey kid what's wrong?" I ask
" my uncle came to pick me up today" she said in a smile as she runs past me
"Uncle?"
I've known that girl for about a year and a half now and I've only ever seen her parents pick her up, I've got to see who this man is.

I follow behind Sara until she comes to a stop, and at that moment I lost all thoughts.
