Now we go on to Photon Maiden, the 'cool and stylish' unit. Saki's synesthesia adds a lot of interest to her character for me so seeing a whole episode dedicated to it was awesome. I found it funny that every member of Photon Maiden has a burning passion for something that makes their color bright red. While Saki herself due to sheer love of Photon Maiden is a void. It made it really interesting watching it through for the first time as you tried to figure out everyone's color. Only for the irony of everyone having a color that contradicts Photon Maiden's image. Once you get to Saki, you think you know what to expect but the episode plays with your expectations once more. That's this episodes strong point.
