You Got My Mark

Well, it was early Thursday morning,

As I heard something was ringing,

I opened my eyes, blinking, yawning,

It was my phone, someone’s calling.

Then, “Hello, aren’t you awake yet?”

His voice echoed, I felt so scared,

It’s simply because I woke up late,

I said “Oh sorry, are you there yet?”

He informed, “Not yet. Hey, get ready”

We were going to be as busy as a bee,

I sat up on my bed, felt kind of dizzy,

I knew I wasn’t organized and clumsy.

Then, I walked briskly down the pathway,

As I was making my way to the bus stop,

I could see her standing at the doorway,

The familiar cleaner, she’s holding a mop.

Hmmm, it was a very beautiful day,

I hoped everything would be okay,

I prayed to God to show us the way,

Even though it would be a tiring day.

I got there and I wandered around,

I jolted a bit when I heard a sound,

It’s a honk; I looked at my surround,

OK, they had arrived, safe and sound.

I opened the door and put in my feet,

And sank at the back passenger seat,

She’s there, smiling, she looked neat,

She’s a friend of mine, she’s so sweet.

Altogether, there were four of us,

But, we still had to pick up someone,

For having that someone was a must,

He’s the leader, he’s our capable one.

As we were heading to his place,

I tried to guess the look of his nest,

I didn’t want it obvious on my face,

So, I tried to be cool like the rest.

Then we finally reached at the junction,

He steered carefully his car to the right,

Then I came up with a weird emotion,

“Hey relax. Just act normal, all right?”

That guy appeared at the gate and got in,

I could feel something weird from within,

He smiled and greeted everyone in no din,

Honestly, he was so nice, he was no mean.

I thought it was a total miracle,

For having a seat in the middle,

I could see him through that angle,

That feeling; it made me entangled.

I threw a glance at the front mirror,

I must admit, he was so cool; no error,
