Chapter 2 not rewritten

Aaron's POV

Today's the day, I'm gonna tell Aph about Lily. I really hope she isn't disappointed. I know she's my best friend by we do have a history. She's still my first kiss after all. That doesn't matter anymore. Yeah, she's probably moved on with Garroth or Laurence or someone else I guess. Lily's just really nice and we've been together for a while now. My father doesn't know I have my phone or computer on me. He wants me to stay isolated and alone. Fuck him. He's still my father. Yeah but you need to get out.

Babe❤: How you doing today?

Aa: Good. U?

Babe❤: I'm good, can I still see you later?

Aa: Of course

Babe❤: I want to meet this friend of yours after you tell her this arvo.

Aa: Aphmau?\

Babe❤: Yes, her. 😊

Babe❤: I want to get along with my boyfriend's bestie.

Aa: Def. I gotta go, Love U

Babe❤: Love you more

She's adorable. I really hope Aph takes this well, she should be happy for me. I trust that she will be happy for me. She was kind of my only friend for a while, except Shu, but I don't think I'll ever meet her in person. Heck I don't even know Shu's real name. Oh well. We're doing a dungeon tonight.

Aph's already at the café when I arrive. She gets up to hug me. Not in a romantic way but in a best friend kind of way. She's so understanding and when she accepted me for who I was, it became clear we had a  connection, I once wanted it to be romantic but know things have changed we've grown up and I have someone else in my life like that.

"Okay, Aph I have something I really need to tell you."

"Go for it."

"Well I... I'm umm... uh"

She gives me a confused look

"We're best friends right?"

"The best. Why?"

"I want you to be happy for me, about Lily."

"Did you make a friend on your own, I'm proud of you."

"Kinda. Lily is actually my... girlfriend."

She looks shocked for a second then laughs... does she think I'm joking. She just started laughing, did I say or do something stupid. Urgh, I don't know.

"Aph?"

"Yes?"

"Why is that funny?"

"Oh sorry, I just saw something stupid over that way" pointing out the window.

"Then what do you think about me having a girlfriend?"

"I'm happy for you, now sorry but I gotta go, told my friend we'd do something"

She's happy for me. That could've gone so much worse than what just happened. I thought she was gonna hate me or get jealous... wait it's Aph she wouldn't be jealous. Next time we hang out I'm going to ask if she would mind Lily coming along. Aph will want to meet her and vice versa, Lily wouldn't get jealous either, I text her on my way back to my dorm.

Aa: Hey babe

Babe❤: How did it go?

Aa: She took it well

Babe❤: I knew she would. If she was really your friend, she would be happy for us.

Aa: Thanks <3

Babe❤: Sorry I had to cancel; my brother needed help settling in

Aa: That's fine, we'll see each other 2morrow

Babe❤: Night Aar

Aa: Night Babe

She made me feel special, and she was more my age compared to Aph. That doesn't make Aph not special to me, I'm just not in love with her as much as I was a few years back. As long as we stay friends, I'm good.

I get back to my dorm. Crap. My father is here. Not now.

"Aaron."

"Hello"

"Where have you been?"

"I went to get some food, is that a bad thing?"

"No, it's not."

"What did you need father?"

"I wanted to make sure everything was ok here."

Urgh. It's a good thing I hide my computer when I'm not using it, or I would be dead in an instant. I'm supposed to be doing a dungeon with Shu right now. Nobody texts me right now or... I don't know what'll happen.
