Best Friends

Prologue

A/N: Am I crazy for writing 4 books at once, two fluffy and two mature, probably. Oh well, I enjoy writing and you awesome nerds enjoy reading so win-win situation. Enjoy the fluffiness!

The short raven-haired woman dropped her final box on the floor of her dorm. Her mother was helping her move into a brand new room at Falcon Claw University and she couldn't be more excited. Her roommate was yet to arrive so the freshman girl got first pick of the beds. The room was closer to the bathroom but the right room had just a slightly larger closet so the decision was tough for her.

She was going to get to see some of her old high school friends she hadn't seen since their graduation the year previous. There was Katelyn, the fiery blue-headed girl who would do anything to protect her loved ones. After came Kawaii~Chan, the crazy bound mei-fwa with an eye for playing Cupid. Of course Tera too, enemy turned friend after they'd finally stopped fighting over a boy.

Then you had Garroth, back when they had met, she'd had feelings for him, classic high school drama had taken that away from the star-crossed lovers. He was goofy, kind and romantic wrapped with a big ol' bow of handsome. Everyone wanted him but he'd only ever had eyes for her, he was determined to shoot his shot. It had been a while since the pair saw each other, were the feelings still there or had they dissolved into dust?

Finally Aaron, old rivals-turned-lovers in class but oblivious to their long-standing friendship in an online game. Back then she always thought it was going to be them together because there was something about him, but after two years of no contact that thought slowly slipped away into the back of her mind. Once promised to wait, but a high school fling is just that, a fling, right?

Finally done with packing she sets out to find her friends, explore the campus and finally getting away from her overprotective mother. Lots of things were different now, they weren't kids anymore. People move on. Feelings develop and disappear all the time. She always though Aaron was her destined, however that may no longer be what's in store. Is Garroth finally going to get the woman of his dreams or can a single word change everything?
