Barney walks in to put clean towels. I'm at the table drinking a cup of coffee.

Alice - Good morning Barney

Barney - Good morning Alice

Alice - How is everyone?

Barney - Yeah, It's chore time. Dad said you have to work all the horses

Alice - ALL 35 HORSES?!

Barney - Yeah, It used to be Kira's job

Alice - Fine. Do we have the horse cookies?

Barney - No one will make them, never since you left. Your the baker of the family

Alice - Aww. You guys are cute.

Jim wakes up

Barney - Good morning sir.

Jim - Please, call me Jim

Barney - Thank you sir, but it's family rule to call guests, Sir or Ma'am.

Jim - For how long?

Barney - Whole visit, Sir

Jim - That's ok.. I never got your name.

Barney - My name is Barney, Sir

Jim - Nice to meet you Barney.

Barney - I'll get you guys some milk

Alice - Thank you Barney

Barney nods his head and walks back to the house.

Alice - I have to train 35 horses, it's a 3 day thing, It might take me a week, or so, You can help if you want?

Jim - Sure... But, I need the right clothing

Alice - We can go out to Horseland or Saddle world. Let me check inventory.

Jim - Ok let's go.

We walk to the stables and I check inventory. We need 32 new bridles. 10 new saddles. 30 new rugs. Brush cleaner. New head collars and leads. And feed. We then walk to the house

Lim - Where is dad?

Jenny - Fixing the new car.

Alice - Thanks Jenny.

We walk to the shed.

Alice - Dad, I'm getting new gear. It's a lot, I'm using the horse card, every coupon we own and mum's discounts, oh and if we are still short, my money.

Dad - Sure, but what's wrong with what we have?

Alice - When was the last time you rode?

Dad - Maybe like 2 years ago. No one rides anymore, we do round pen hoping that's enough exercise

Alice - The inventory had been infested with mice or rats. The equipment is not safe anymore.

Dad - Do what you must sweetheart.

Jim and I got in the van and drove to Saddleworld. We got what we needed. I called Barney to bring the other van, because it all didn't fit in my van. Barney arrived and came in, he saw the total came to $24,231.90

Barney - You know dad's going to be mad?!

Alice - Trust me dude

I take out one of the coupons that is 75% off the total if more than $10,000. Now it costs $6,421.45. I use mum's horse riding credit card.

Lady - Would you like the receipt?

Alice - Yes please

We then take the stuff to the vans

Barney - Wha....

Jim - What just happened?!

I smile as we put all the stuff in the vans

Alice - Let's go home now shall we?

They boys look at each other in shock. I giggle and get in the van.

Alice - Let's get a move on ladies.

Jim - Hey?!

Jim got in the van and pulled a sad face.

Alice - Aww, did I hurt, the baby's feelings?

He smiles as he puts his hand on my thigh. Damn, I can never get used to that. We arrive home and I see dad at the front of the stables with his arms crossed. I sigh and get out of the van.

Dad - Receipt please.

I give him the receipt and he looks at it in shock.

Dad - HOW?

Alice - Mum had her ways.

Dad - You're lucky.

Alice - Yeah, yeah, help me old man

Dad laughs and helps Jim and Barney. I clean out the tack room by removing the old gear. I vacuum the floor and dust everything. Now the place looks shiny.

Barney sealed any holes from the small rodents. Kayla and I place the tack where we know it will be. We label and name things.

Alice - SHIT!!

Kayla - What?!

Alice - I forgot to get feed... JIM GET IN THE TRUCK, WE NEED TO GET MORE SHIT.

Jim and I get in the truck and drive to Horseland. We got $1,008.60 worth of feed and Stable shavings. We arrive home and Dad is waiting.

Alice - What we needed feed and wood shavings

Dad - I don't care. Money is tight at the moment

Alice - That's why I used my share of mum's will.

Dad rolls his eyes and walks off. Barney carries all the food and wood shaving to the feed room. I see Kayla, Lilly and Jenny making the tack room look nice and Trent, Patrick, Cody and Zack are cleaning the stables ready for the new shavings.

Alice - Good work everyone. I love and miss you all. We are going for a trail ride all together.

Barney - Dad and I can't, we have to fix the fences soon.

Kayla - I'm watching the little ones.

Alice - Ok so it's Jim, Trent, Lilly, Jenny, Patrick, Cody, Zack, Maddie, Liam, Noah, Sam and Dylan.

Kayla - Yes.

Alice - Trent, Lilly, Jenny and Patrick, you guys as well as me, we are going to keep an eye on Cody, Zack, Maddie, Liam, Noah, Sam and Dylan.

Trent - What about Jim?

Jim - I have to care for myself, I don't know how to ride.

Patrick - *cough* pussy *cough*

Alice - Shut up Patrick

Patrick pokes his tongue out and smiles.

Alice - Jim and I are going to have a quick lesson so he knows the basics. The rest of you, you can make lunch or continue cleaning the stables.

They all run inside and cook. I get Jack and Alby. I'm riding Jack and Jim is riding Alby.
