Chapter 7 not rewritten

Aph's POV

I roll over and wake up slamming the button on my alarm clock. Stupid early classes. I've been hanging out with Lily, Aaron and Garroth a lot over the past couple of weeks plus the trips to the café with Katelyn and Luka. I'm enjoying college aside from classes even if that's the whole point of being here.

"APHMAU!"

Tera's shout makes me jump out of bed as quick as lightning

"Where's the fire?"

"No fire but there's supposedly a mei'fwa scout selling cookies on campus and you're coming with me before class"

Of course, Tera wants to get cookies. Glancing around the room I notice a piece of paper by the door. When I pick it up, I immediately recognise Garroth's handwriting on the paper.

"As much as I love romance, there are cookies!"

I groan

"At least let me grab my stuff for class"

I quickly grab my stuff, shove Garroth's letter in my bag and run out after Tera, locking the door behind me. When she wants food, she can run really fast that girl.

Aaron's POV

Some stupid Mei'fwa kid came up to my dorm. No one is supposed to be allowed on this floor those stupid security guards obviously can't do their job right otherwise she wouldn't have some. Now I had a box of the dumb cookies that I'll probably give to Lily or Aphmau later.

"Yo Aaron,"

"Uh hi Mac,"

"So.... I wanted to ask your advice on something"

"Ok then.,"

"I want to ask Jenny on a date but I don't know how,"

"And you're asking me because..?"

"You have a girlfriend, duh"

"Can't you ask Garroth,"

"Huh?"

"He's dating Aphmau, didn't he tell you?"

"Nope,"

Good grief, he hasn't told his own roommate about his girlfriend yet, that's kinda lame not gonna lie. He'd better treat her right or him and I will be having words. I thought Garroth wouldn't be able to stop talking about her.

"Just man up and ask, the worst that could happen is she says no."

"Thanks man!"

Mac runs off to find Jenny, he's a lovestruck puppy I swear. Oh well I better go find Lils and give her these cookies before any of the guards spot me out of my room.

Aph's POV

"Tera! Slow down!"

"BUT COOKIES!"

"We can find her later I have class now and I'm not being late."

I trudge off to class. Then I remember Garroth's letter he left by this morning. I still haven't read it but I have like a few minutes before the professor gets her so I pull it out and read it.

Meet me by the lake at 6pm sharp. Wear something cute.

He's so sweet, he's always been super nice to me but I don't know if he's told Laurance about the two of us dating, it may or may not offend him cause he's liked me since high school as well. It doesn't matter he's probably moved on with someone else.

Class takes forever but it's finally over. I can go back to my dorm and get ready for our date. It's kinda random that he left a note instead of asking in person or over text.

Tera is watching something on Netflix when I get back, I tell her I'm going out and she instantly start interrogating me about what I'm gonna wear. She looks though my cupboard and pulls out a lavender dress I haven't worn since well um, high school stuff.

"Just wear it, it's perfect."

"Alright, alright,"

I take the dress from her, grab some clean undergarments then jump in the shower. I wonder what he'll think. Hopefully Katelyn doesn't see me wearing it. I guess it still looks good on me and Tera seems dead set on making me wear it.

I walk out to see she's picked out some shoes and prepared my desk to do my makeup. Gosh this girl needs her own boyfriend to go on dates with.

"This will look perfect Aph,"

"If you insist,"

"I will, you gotta trust me on this,"

"See now don't you look fab."

"Yeah, I like it,"

I still feel semi uncomfortable in this dress, oh well at least I can have positive memories towards this dress now. I grab my purse and walk out the door towards the lake.
