C H A P T E R - 9

Jennie's POV 

I couldn't even sleep for the night, I kept hearing coughs and sneezes nonstop in Jisoo's room. Without hesitation, I went towards her and saw her on bed looking like a mess. "Are you okay Jis?" I asked the fragile girl who was always like a mother to me. "Y-Yes, let's get ready for school." Once I heard her words, I immediately shook my head, disagreeing with her. "No! You will stay here until you're well, I'll talk with the teachers." I insisted as I noticed Chaeyoung and Lisa coming from behind with breakfast. "Thank you girls for this.." Jisoo thanked us as we nodded. 

Before leaving Jisoo to rest she called out my name when the sisters left. "Yes Jisoo?" I asked turning around. "You must take care of your sisters today, keep a good eye on them, if anyone annoys you, make sure to maintain yourself and please stay out of trouble Miss Kim!" I nodded cheekily in response with my small gummy smile. "Okay then!"

Entering the school, we approached to Chaeyoung's locker together, letting her do her thing before going into class. "So I've seen you come here.. I want some water." I heard a voice from behind which I could slap too. "Go get some in the canteen Taeyong." I gritted my teeth as I saw him and his friend. "Really, oh right that video-" I quickly hushed him and nodded, indicating that I will do his shit. "Where is Jisoo? We have the speech for council rep." They do that shit?

"Jisoo is sick today, so she won't be able to do the speech then," I said while I went into the canteen. "Yah! I want water YEAH?!" Taeyong shouted as he followed me. "I'm buying it okay? Shut your mouth now." I muttered as I grabbed the water. "Mhm, actually, I want juice." I sighed as I put the water down and took an apple juice. "Yah, I never said I wanted that shit, I want orange juice." Who drinks orange juice anyways?

Grabbing the orange juice, the darn man decided to change his mind AGAIN. "Actually, coke will do." He shrugged as I slowly turned around him with a pissed face. "Do I look like a joke to you?" I asked him out of curiosity. "Pretty much yeah, you've always been a joke." He smirked back as I was about to throw hands but immediately remembered Jisoo's words, "if anyone annoys you, make sure to maintain yourself" 

I nodded and took the coke and went to the check out, waiting for Taeyong. "Are you coming to pay?" I yelled at him. "Who said I need to pay huh?" He yelled back, this man is really testing my limits. I payed for the drink and went back to him, only to see a crowd of girls around him. "Your back, finally.." He spoke as he snatched the drink of me. "Classical coke? I wanted diet coke.. you know what, I'm not even thirsty at all." He gave the drink back to me as I flashed a death stare at this man.

"Eww, its that Jennie girl.."

"She really bought a drink for Taeyong!?"

"Of course Taeyong doesn't like psychos like her."

"She's so dumb messing with our man.!!!"

Maintain yourself Jennie, just as Jisoo had wished.

Yuta's POV

Jisoo is sick today? Out of all days... this will be easy then. I will get the council rep easily without her being on my back. But why do I feel guilty, I am the one who slipped the illness pill in her drink on the way to the bar back then to pick up Chaeyoung and Jaehyun. I scoffed at myself harshly. 

"Can we have all participants who is part of the Council Rep come to the school hall."

Yes I admit it, I do feel guilty.

Waiting in the line to audition, saying the speech in front of the people who were going to judge me was easy. It was like talking to some random birds outside your garden. Soon, people started to go in and leave and in and leave until I was the last one.

"Nakamoto Yuta, please enter." I walked inside and went to the middle of the stage, bowing at the judges before I begun.

"Hi, I'm Nakamoto Yuta and today I am going to be sharing you the reason why I should be council rep. When you think about it, there is actually a benefit in choosing someone who is coming into the school from somewhere else. I have new ideas that I can bring in from the school I was at before.

Are you tired of doing the same old things year after year? Are you ready to do something different? One thing I noticed about this school when I came here is that most of the students didn't really get to make any of the decisions here at the school. Did anyone ever ask you what you wanted to do for a fundraiser? Did anyone ever ask you what you wanted to buy with the money we raised? Who makes these decisions?

Those types of decisions are left up to student council. The person you choose to represent you as president will speak for the entire senior class. Do you want to choose someone who will make those decisions for you without knowing what you want?

If you vote for me as student council president, I promise to always get your opinions before making any decisions. You should have a say in the actions that will affect you.

Every single one of you can come to me with your ideas, and I promise to listen and speak for you."

The teachers in the room applauded at my speech that I've been preparing for so long. I bowed and was about to leave before I spoke.

"Before I forget, this speech was written by me and Jisoo, so I want to credit her as well, she wasn't in today. So this speech is from the both of us, thank you." I bowed once again.
