Chapter 3: Drake

I woke up because of the sunlight that hits my face from the window. I saw the blanket on me and look for him. I saw his bed empty. He's gone? Did he go to school at his condition? Is he crazy? He never let himself rest. I stand up and goes to my room. I prapare to shower and also my school stuff.

2 years ago...

I arrived home late because of my school project. I'm a graduating highschool student.

"Vina, you arrived, sit done here I will Introduce to you, your future husband" I look at my mom face. I know that I am set for this marriage since I enter highschool. At first, I was excited about it because of the wattpad stories and drama series I watched but now I know what reality is, it makes me sick. I sigh as I sat down beside my mother.

"His Serge Jean Rutherford, his a 1st year college student, soon, after your graduation Vina, his father and your father will work on your marriage papers, you will not live for now. Only until you get 20" Its laughable. I hate this. As my set up marriage comes, I rebel my parents. I partied and even get drunk at night.

"Lois, you might get hurt" he looked at me concernly.I drunk at a bar, not a public bar but a private bar. He assist me from falling to the ground but I push him.

"Why are you here? I did not called you! I called Mr. Santos to get me!" I shouted. Mr. Santos is one of my bodyguards. I out balanced myself and he catch me from it. I look at his eyes. How can I not like him? He has brown eyes, thick eyebrows, sharp nose and pinkish lips. If only you like me everything well be fine.

" Ha! Ha!" I pushed him and fix my self "Your moves will never make me fall for you! Ha! Leave me alone!" I walked  and passed out.

The next day I woke up and I feel my head that it will going to burst. I don't remember anything last night but I rember only one thing. Serge and I can't love each other.

I arrived at school 5 minutes late and I entered the room while my prof is discussing.

"Ms. Falcon, you arrived late. Get inside, after I discuss this, we will be having an activity" I sit down on my seat and get my book and my notebook. I looked for Fiona but she's not present.

After class, I'm moving now to my next subject. As I walk down the stairs, I suddenly trip and almost fell. Luckily, someone catch me. He's right arm is on my waist and his left arm is on my arm. Its like in dramas that if the girl trip a boy will catch. I just stare at his eyes. Is he okay? We fix each others clothes. Its only me and him in this narrow stair. Students used this for emergency purposes only but since im in a rush situation, I almost fell.

"Thank you..." I said in a low tone voice. He just stare at me with his cold eyes.

"A-are you okay?" I said. He's still staring at me.

"Well, if you're okay then good! Okay" I said while nodding my head.

"I'm okay" he said without looking at me. He go down the stairs and I left with a weird feeling.  I also go down and go to my next class.

"Vina!!" Sheena shouted. Why she always shout? Or I'm just hearing it loudly?

"Why?" I asked.

"I already gave you the invitation right?" I nodded.

"Favor? Pleasee..." she said in a cute tone.

" okay"

" You know Drake right? Our classmate in English?" I nodded. He's my seatmate Drake Monterde.

"Here! Give this to him. Pleaseeee" I laughed. I guess she has a crush on him.

After class, I go to Dake's room. He is sitting beside the window. Is that his favorite spot?

" Hey" I said calling out his attention.

"Your Vina, right?" I nod.

"Here" I handed a small invitation envelope but I guess there's something else.

"Ohhhhh~~~ Loveletter" a guy from his back talked and grab the invitation.

"Hey!" he gets it and read whats inside. I'm shocked as he read it a loud. That letter supposed to be private. Aishhhh. I grab it from his hand.

"This must be a private message. What kind of college student are you? Do you even know the word respect privacy?" I said while looking at him like I'm going to get his soul. I turn my head to Drake.

"Btw, this is not mine" I gave the invatation to him and go out. I sigh as I get outside the room. Stupid guy.

I walk to my room and bump into Serge. He's with the girl from the party, the birthday girl. She's so pretty, she has a long black straight hair, red lips, curly eyelashes and a pinkish cheek. I think she is an Asian, maybe a Chinese because of her eyes.

"Oh, you came to my party with Fiona right?" she said. They still with each other sides and he's not looking at me.

"Yes" while I nodded. Base on what I know, they know each other since kids. I think she's the one he has crush on?

"Fiona told me to that you will joining the Rutherford's Beauty" she said. She's the one who facilitate the event. She's the same age and year of Serge. I got confused on what she said.

"Uhmn... Maybe... " I looked at Serge face. His now looking at me. I think I will the competition "... Yes?" she smile.

"What's your name again? Complete name?" I smiled.

"Its Vina Lois Falcon, what's yours?" I handed my hand to her.

"Gosh, you owned Falcon Airlines right?" she said with bright smile "I'm Trixana Ayoma. Nice to meet you Vina" and we both shake hands.

"We better go Trix" he said and walked away.

"Don't mind him. His always like that" she said and walked with him.

After school, I waited for a cab to go home. While I'm waiting Drake approach me.

"Waiting for your driver to fetch you or waiting for someone" he asked while his hands are in his pockets.

"Excuse me?" I said with my left eyebrow raising.

"Ah, your waiting for a bus!" he said and look at me.

"No, I'm waiting for a cab" I said while looking for a cab.

"So, how's your day?" I look at him and he's hands are still on his pocket.

"Why your so friendly today? It makes me uncomfortable" I said without looking at him.

"Is it bad to be friendly?"

"Not really" I said. A cab is coming and I signal it to stop.

"Gotta go" I said and opened the back seat of the cab.

I arrived at home and got a text message from an unknown number.

(Hi, I'm Drake, save my number)

Where did he find my number? He's weird. I heard the main door opened and I saw Serge face.

"Your here. How's your day" he look at me and got confuse. I also confused myself why did I ask him About his day. Argh.

"Ah. Ahmn. I mean how are you? Are you okay?" he walk towards the kitchen to get a drink. Hoo. What happened to me today.

"Yes?" what?

"Are you asking me?" he finished a glass of water and wipe his mouth.

"Do you not see I'm well?" huh? That's why I ask him if his okay. If I already knew it then I would not ask. He look at me with his cold eyes

"Ha!" I'm suxh a stupid girl asking him first about his day or whatever it is. Pft.

"Don't make friends at school. It's dangerous" oh my! Its starting again. He walk to his room but before he entered it I speak something.

"Are you crazy? Dangerous? Ha!" I'm confused as well as feel imprisoned. He stopped walking to his room.

"Just...don't go near him" he said without facing me. My confusion? It got worst.
