School was finally over, so I went home and got ready for the party. I took a cold shower, brushed my hair, and got dressed. I started taking cold showers since I was 14. I hate them, but they help reduce muscle soreness after football practices. After, I drove over to Bryce's house. When I arrived, there were lots of people there already.
"Steven, you made it! Help yourself to a drink--we have fruit punch, shots, and a keg." said Bryce.
I grabbed some fruit punch and started chugging it down my throat.
"Woah easy Steven, easy," said Jack.
"This punch is really good, you should try it," I replied.
We didn't have much to talk about so I looked away to avoid conversation. I was feeling bored, so glanced at some girls but couldn't find any hot ones. This was the driest party ever.
"I'm gonna leave. There's nothing interesting at this party--no hot girls or music."
"Are you driving home?" asked Bryce.
"Yeah, why, you need a lift?" I asked back.
"No, I'm just worried for you because you had a few drinks."
It was just a couple of drinks, it won't matter. I drink and drive after parties all the time and I was perfectly fine.
"Don't worry, I'll be fine," I said.
I walked into the car and started driving. A couple minutes later, I started to feel dizzy. The road was wiggling and I couldn't focus. My eyelids were heavy--I was fighting off the urge of sleeping. I blinked heavily and my head kept dropping on the steering wheel. When I look up, I see two bright lights coming towards me. I tried to figure out what it was, but by the time I realized that it was a car, it was too late...
