Promises

He held her hand,
But he held her heart harder.

He kissed her lips,
To savor the taste that lingers.

He touches her skin,
And love the way it ignites like fire.

He looks into her eyes,
And promises he will catch every tear,
If they ever water.

She leans on his broad chest,
Hearing his heart beat faster.

She licks his lips,
Hoping he would kiss harder.

She cups his cheek,
To feel the rising heat from his skin.

She promises,
To love him forever.

They walk to the doors,
Hoping their promises wouldn't die,
But end up,
Kissing each other,
Goodbye.
