That Boy

one.

It was my first day at the college of my dreams. Julliard. My passion was to dance. Leaping and twirling under the spotlight. I had just enrolled and they finally sent me a letter back telling me that I was excepted. I could hardly wait.

"I'm going to miss you so much." I said to my younger sister as I was packing the last things into my suitcase.

"I'll miss you too, Summer." She replied back giving me a hug.

With tears in my eyes I took my suitcase off the bed and headed downstairs to give my parents a hug before I left. They were waiting for me at the front door.

"Goodbye, Summer." They said as they both embraced me into a hug. We pulled away and before I opened the door to head to Julliard, my dad stopped me.

"Summer!" He exclaimed and he ran over to me and covered my eyes. "We have one last thing to show you."

I stumbled my way across the living room to the front door and down the steps to the driveway where he finally stopped me.

"Open your eyes." He said after he uncovered my eyes. I opened them and was in awe of what I saw.

It was a gorgeous white Camry with leather seats. I couldn't believe it. My old car was so run down it hardly worked but I was hoping that it would take my far enough to get to Julliard. But now in front of me was a brand new Camry that I could drive. I dropped my suitcase and opened the door. Right when I did, a baby husky hopped out of the door and jumped around my feet.

"Hi little guy, where did you come from?" I cooed bending down to scoop him up.

"We bought him for you to take to Julliard with you." My dad said walking over to me with a kennel and two bowls for food and water for the dog.

"Thanks dad." I said to him taking the kennel and bowl from him and putting them in the trunk. I came back and took the husky and suitcase from my dad and put the husky in the kennel along with a rubber bone which he seemed to enjoy. Locking the cage and putting my suitcase next to the kennel, I shut the trunk and walked back to my family all in a line waiting for me. I each gave them a hug and turned to my Camry. I got in the seat and adjusted my seat and my mirrors. I looked at my family for the last time. Waving with tears in my eyes, I drove to Julliard.
