Saki stood on the front wooden porch of Lord Hashirama holding onto the five year old child that clung to him while seeking refuge from the heavy rain that continued to pour as the sky raged angrily, thunder causing an ear piercing sound and lightning leaving streaks of yellow in the sky.
At the sight of the frightening old man, Uriku, the five year old son of Saki one of the few elite nins and jutsu users left hid behind his dad.
"Come on Riku, we've talked about this" Saki cooed while Patting the child's head. Hashirama lifted his chin and snorted
"Are you sure you're not making a big mistake?" He asked dryly and Saki smiled looking down at his son as he shook his head
"Not at all, besides he doesn't feel anything presently so I doubt he'd take real notice of my absence" Saki said pain and sorrow obviously making their grand show on his face
"You sound like a middle schooler holding back tears" Hashirama said and Saki laughed
tears starting to glisten at the corners of his eyes"You sure know how to make a joke out of every situation Hashi-sama" he said smiling then looking back at his child
"Please take good care of him" he said tearfully as he pulled the little arm of Uriku towards Hashirama who took it and pulled Uriku to his side where the little boy quickly clung to him and Saki smiled at this
"And you better not be making any foolish mistake, ensure that you come back, we don't want this little one to get orphaned so quickly" Hashirama stated and Saki simply nodded
"Of course we wouldn't want that" he gave his son a long loving gaze before staring seriously at Hashirama
"But...just in case...."
"I hear ya, I'll take good care of the little one" Hashirama said narrowing his eyes at Saki "make sure to be careful, no mistakes" Hashirama said and Saki nodded
"Of course, anything to bring back my lovely ball of sunshine" Saki said.
Taking a sharp breath, he turned around and headed down the steps making his way past the lawn, he stopped when he heard his son's quiet call
"Otou-sama" Uriku called out quietly almost in a whisper. At that Saki spun around on his heel and looked at his son
"He remembers me" he breathed out happily. The tears now streaming down his face were covered by the heavy rain now pouring on him and then lightning struck again and both Hashirama and Saki looked up at the sky 'seriously?'
'that's twice now' they both looked back at Uriku and Saki smiled 'well that's proof enough that he won't go down so easily' he thought
"Well then, Hashi-sama, arigato, thanks for everything, and Riku?" He called out and unexpectedly the little child lifted his head, his gaze meet that of his father's
"Sayonara" Saki said giving his charming closed-eye smile as sadly, he shunshined away. At that, the most unthinkable happened. Uriku stretched out his hand in the direction of where Saki once stood
"Otou-sama" he whispered as tears gathered in his eyes
"OTOU-SAMA!!!!!" He yelled tears running down his face as he sobbed.
