I am the classic

Sans is sleeping...

Sans was asleep when Dream and nightmare got into his room and focused a little bit before they went into sans dream or nightmare or mindscape.

"Sans what are you doing?" Papyrus asked sans.

Both nightmare and Dream watched on to see what was happening within classics mind.

"Nothing much bro, I just need to do a few more things and then we are set to go." Sans responded back to papyrus who nodded.

Both nightmare and Dream shared a look of confusion, when was this and what were they watching?

They both thought, looking puzzled as they watched sans work on the machine that had malfunctioned in classics au.

"There we go, let me type in the location." Sans said as he started typing into the machine while papyrus watched.

After the Dream sans typed the location in, both sans and papyrus walked inside and the machine closed and they disappeared inside before it went black for a few seconds and then sans eyes open again.

Both Dream and nightmare looked puzzled at this as everything around them was pure black.

"Come on paps, dads waiting." Sans said and started walking but both Dream and nightmare were surprised by what this sans said, dads waiting? What does he mean? Doesn't Gaster usually fall into the void or something?

Dream and nightmare thought confused, then they felt surprised as they actually saw Gaster standing right there with a smile on his face.

"Hi dad!" Papyrus greeted happily to Gaster while sans watched with a smile.

And then everything changed within those seconds, seeing the location on the machine to it being something else entirely.

"Sans what are you doing?" Papyrus asked and the twins shared a look of confusion, did it just repeat?

Except this time sans was silent before he turned to look at papyrus, the twins eyes widen at what they saw, they saw sans standing there with an empty look, "he's not going to get this, isn't he?" Sans said with no smile on his face.

Papyrus tilted his head, "probably not. But we can't lose hope brother!"  Papyrus said cheerfully while the sans shrugged his shoulders before opening the machine, this time not typing the location in and papyrus didn't follow as sans disappeared and this time it was in another area.

Sans walked for a long while before coming to a stop at the very edge of outertale.

"See you soon..." sans muttered before letting himself fall into the void and disappearing.

Then the scene changed to papyrus looking terrified as sans killed every single monster and papyrus just stood there, still terrified but believing sans can do better. Then the Scene ended with a dead papyrus and no more resets.

Then it started rapidly changing scenes, going too fast for Dream and nightmare to see fully but they did see death and destruction of many things before it all went black again and stayed like that for a little bit.

"What are you doing here?" A voice asked them and they turned around to see sans but..he looked a little different.

"They were worried about you since you apparently don't get much sleep." Dream responded back with concern as to what he and nightmare just saw.

"You shouldn't be here. Leave." Sans sans and he snapped his fingers and they were forced out of sans mind and back where they had been standing at in sans room.

Nightmare and Dream shared some looks of concerned as to what they had been able to see.

"That..was concerning.." nightmare said and Dream nodded in agreement.

"Yes it is concerning, especially with all the death and destruction we just saw in his mind.." Dream said with a look of worry while nightmare stared at sans for a few minutes.

"Should..we tell the others? Or at least our gang?" Nightmare mentioned and Dream looked thoughtful.

"I...don't know, it could be just nothing but..with what we saw..we don't know how we are going to explain to our gang about what classic was watching or even going through in those..memories? Dreams? Or nightmares..I can't even tell which one it is with how confusing it is.." Dream mentioned and now that nightmare thought about it, he couldn't tell which one it was either.

It was that confusing that even. As the guardian of negativity or positivity couldn't tell if they just saw a dream, or a nightmare or memories.

"Yes..maybe once we know which one it is..we might tell our gang after that.." nightmare decided and Dream nodded at that.

"Ok brother. Until then, we will have to check on classic again and see if it happens again or if it's something different each night." Dream responded to nightmare with a determined look and nightmare nodded at that.

"This might take a while though..who knows when classic will go to sleep again.." nightmare mentioned and Dream looked at sans with a concerned look, remembering that sans has a hard time sleeping most of the time.

"Yeah..but until then, we will keep on trying, we do need to help sans out after all..he did let us stay here until the machine is completely fixed. And even if he didn't, we would have still helped as that is the right thing to do." Dream said and nodded to himself, looks like they will be checking every night until they get the answers that they are looking for..

Nightmare just nodded, he may not be a good guy, but even he knew where to draw the line and when to help someone in need...

Sans just laid there, still half asleep and a bit unaware since it was his inner self that had forced the two out and not himself..not really...but he fell back fully into his sleep again..
