Wings like the falcons emerge from her back.
Layla yells, "If you believe you can, you can!"
Flying through forests, over oceans, higher than the tallest mountains, and through the fluffiest clouds. The kids cheer her on and the doctors stare in awe from the hospitals' too-familiar rooftop, which enables her fears.
They may say she can't, but she says why not.
So one day, she'll lift herself from her seat, with only the help of her wings.... and fly away.
Away from the people who tell her she can't.
Away from the chair, that has replaced her legs.
