You lean on the door with a soft smile on your face. You watch as his lips broke out into a grin, his steel blue eyes gleaming, making crows feet appear beside his eyes. He laughed at something that your father said. They were drinking at your parents backyard and they got along so well, you didn't wanna disturb them but your mom asked you to do something and you couldn't say no to her on her birthday.

He already noticed you coming before you got closer to them. His lips formed into a wide smile as he saw you and you couldn't help but give a dorky smile back.

"Hey, Doll." He breathed as he gently held your hand.

"Hey." You looked at him with a soft smile on your face.

You noticed your dad looking at you two amusingly. You playfully rolled your eyes at him.

"Anyways, as much as I don't want to snatch you away from your new best friend, we need to go buy something." You teased.

"Okay, I'll go grab my keys-"

"No need, I already got them." You say as you throw the keys of his motorcycle at him.

"Thanks, Doll."

You both said goodbye to your dad, with him saying to hurry back. You walked slowly with Bucky towards the front of your house. Hands together and dorky grins on your faces. You walked backwards in front of him, his right hand still holding your left. You walked slowly trying your best not to trip.

"So you and my dad are getting along well.." You trail off with a teasing smirk on your face.

"Well, I guess he isn't so intimidating when he doesn't look like he wants to kill me." He replies, chuckling.

"It weird hearing you be intimidated by someone." You commented.

He let out a small laugh. "I just don't want to mess anything up."

You both stop in front of his motorcycle, he, suddenly becoming serious as he wrapped his arms around your waist and squeezing it gently. "I don't want anything to ruin this."

You immediately wrapped your arms around his neck, looking at him with a reassuring look. "You won't. You could never do anything to mess this up. That's somewhere near impossible."

As you say those words, it made you realize how true they are. Nothing can ever ruin this. You won't let it. He smiled gently at you, almost as if he could hear your thoughts.

"Now , let's go buy some ice cream." You declared.

"Ice cream?" Bucky said amusingly.

"What? Its a birthday tradition. Not mention my younger cousins are all expecting it." You pointed out.

Bucky chuckled at your reaction as he hopped on his motorcycle. "Then we better hurry. Hop on, Doll."

You excitedly hopped on his motorcycle, wrapping your arms around his waist and nuzzling your face on his back. He let out a soft chuckle and gently squeezed your right hand with his before you rode off.

You rode off to the nearest store that sells ice cream. You could see the lights around your town blur around you and you felt the wind kiss your face, it was a little cold but with Bucky, you never felt warmer.

You pointed to a small ice cream shop that sold tubs of ice cream. Bucky parked in front of it and as you both got off, a wave of nostalgia hit you. You remembered all the times you were with your family and friends when you were younger. Those warm memories made you smile, and now your here with the person who made you the happiest in this world. You felt like your heart could burst at the overwhelming feeling.

"I love this." You said to no one in particular as you sat on the edge of a wooden table in front of the shop. It was still 8pm but hardly anyone was here.

Bucky turned to you and put his hands beside yours, trapping you on the table. You raised an eyebrow at him before shaking your head. "What?"

"Either you really love ice cream or is it something else?" He tapped your nose, making you scrunch it in response.

You laughed at his question. "I mean I love this, you.. this entire moment." You continued. "You meeting my family, us buying ice cream, doing something so normal."

"I love you too, doll." He softly whispered while looking at you adoringly.

You grinned like an idiot before leaning up, kissing him softly on the lips. You felt him smile through the kiss as he kissed you back passionately. He gave you one last lingering kiss before pulling back.

"I really love moments like these. I feel so normal. ." You whispered.

Bucky tucked a stray hair behind your ear and sighed. "I know, our life is unpredictable and risky. If it was up to me, doll, this isn't the type of life I want to give you - with missions and danger at every corner. I wish I could give you better. A normal-"

You immediately shushed him with your index finger which he immediately bit, making you laugh. You took a deep breath before you spoke. "Please don't say that. Yes, its dangerous but I'm okay with what we do. We're helping people, and helping in making the world a safer place." You started, as you gently held his face with your right hand.

"And don't say you wish you could give me better because you already are giving me the best life. I'm with you, how could I ever ask for anything else?" You reassured him. Knowing Bucky and his past, you knew he needed a lot of reassurance. You didn't wanna ruin the night by making him sad.

He covered your hand with his before kissing your palm. " Honestly, I don't what I ever did to deserve you, doll."

"I should be the one asking that." You looked into his steel blue eyes that gleamed in the light and found yourself getting lost in them.

Yes, this was everything. "Now, to the ice cream!" You declared like a child as you pointed to the shop making Bucky laugh.

He suddenly turned around and got on his knees. "My lady?"

It took a moment before you realized what he meant. You laughed and hopped on his back, wrapping you arms around him. His arms immediately held the back of your thighs as he stood up with ease.

"Do I even weigh anything to you?" You asked giggling, even though you already knew the answer.

"Like a grape." He grinned.

He then full speed ran into the ice cream shop. You two looked like a bunch of love struck idiots. You could almost see Tony shaking his head at you two. The rest of the night consisted of you two fighting over what flavor of ice cream to buy and ended up buying four tubs of different flavors of ice cream. Going home with your mom shocked at the amount of ice cream. Your cousins rejoicing as the variety. Bucky getting along with your family.

The night ended with you two on the bed, your head on his chest and his arms around you. His heartbeat like a lullaby singing you to sleep and all you could think was you wanted to buy ice cream with him every night.
