Amari POV

I stayed standing for a while, and walked a little bit until I couldn't no more. Everyone is happy to see me moving and stuff, but knowing Kyra she is going to baby the hell out of me. Dr. Val Dalen allowed me to smoke weed for pain instead of actual pain medication. Even with that, they will still test my breathing though.

"Where is Jaxon?" I asked.

"Amari, he is toxic as hell, and did some foul as shit." Tyla told me.

I just laughed it off because that doesn't sound like him.

"No for real." I said confused.

"Yeah babe." Kyra said.

"He not only tried to flirt with Kyra, but you know the whole comfort someone because their significant other is gone,  that type of game. I know that all too well. Then possibly tried to drug her, but good thing Kyra was drinking her own shit. By the way, she turned into a damn alcoholic so talk to her about that. Not only that, but it seems like he has already tried to shoot his shot at Kyra and that didn't go too well. Then lastly, tried to kiss her on New Years." Grandpa said.

I have this scrunched up confused look on my face because that's not something he would do. He wouldn't go behind my back while I'm fighting for my life to just be with my woman. After all that shit he saw me go through with her. Some friend he is because I never would do something like that to him.

"Nothing happened between us because even if him and I are alone, we really are not." Kyra told me.

I trust Kyra. Whenever I looked at her while I was in the hospital she looked exhausted. After all we've been through, a simple coma wouldn't break us apart unless I didn't make it. I guess not everyone will show their true colors.

I nodded my head and just stayed quiet. Just processing this information is tiresome.

"You're not upset are you?" Dion asked me.

"I-I am, b-b-but i-it doesn't m-m-matter. I'm just ha-happy to be a-a-alive." I struggled to say. Kyra is more than likely to help me with my speech whenever that will start.

"Good. Besides Mari, this girl here was a whole mess. If we didn't stop her from repeatedly going back to Nevada, she would have bought a house there." Alexis said. It's believable. I probably would have too if the tables were turned.

Kyra Rose POV

They are just exposing how bad I was just for her to wake up. I'm beyond happy that she is back, and is making progress. I couldn't believe she was right there in front of me at first. Then seeing her stand and walk over to me. Let alone speak too.

Those two things would be difficult to do if normal people were in a coma for that long. Knowing Amari, she doesn't like to be dependent on people. When she wants things done in her way, she will do it. She must have tried to make as much progress as possible before she was released.

Amari looks so different. Her hair grew out a lot from being bald to with a decent amount of hair. She lost a lot of weight in the meantime, and I know for a fact her clothes wouldn't fit as well as they did. It will take some time just for her to put her weight back on. Even if she doesn't, I still love her.

Throughout the day, I didn't want to leave her side. Honestly I wouldn't let her do anything. It looks like stairs would be a big obstacle she would have to tackle in physical therapy. I could tell that she hated stuttering. Every time she would try to talk she would get upset for not getting it out.

Going home will be a struggle for her to even get up the steps. I do have a bedroom on the main level that we could sleep in until she can get up steps.
