Corridor

You stumble across a corridor,
It doesn't seem to end,
Your alone left in darkness,
It's the nightmare they send,

He's right there beside you,
And you are deemed dead,
But he just walked off,
And nothing was said,

Then you see it,
The hope that is there,
It seeps through the ink,
It glides through the air,

And the burden is lifted,
Your shoulders fall free,
For there is a door,
And faiths all you see,

You follow nostalgic pavements,
The last time you went,
Your mind had played tricks,
And back you were sent,

But this time it opens,
In streams the light,
You float like a feather,
And then you take flight,

The worst is over,
It is all a distant memory,
And bright fills the dark,
It's all you can see,

Because that light that you carry,
Sometimes dies,
But the candle can be relit,
And light up the skies.
