As soon as Maria and the other maids were finish setting the dinning area, I gestured the AOT characters to come and sit on the table. There were varieties of foods served, it ranges from noddles, meats, fishes, seafoods, desserts and of course the boiled potatoes that Sasha requested.
The maids moved the chairs so they can sit, at first they were hesitant to sit but they got comfortable later on.
"Please eat." and they begin eating.
"Ah? are they just going to stand there while we eat?" Jean who is sitting beside me asked.
"Uhm, yeah it's a protocol." I replied
*woah, didn't know these guys are so hungry, wait, hungry is more of an understatement STARVING is the right word.* we sat down like just minutes ago and now almost half of the food served are already cleared.
"It's like I'm dining with the king! This must be how it feels like living inside the wall Sina." Connie said, as he takes a bite of his fried chicken while holding a piece of bread on the other hand. The others were just quietly eating their food, for example we have on the left side Captain Levi, twirling the spaghetti pasta using his fork, he's been doing that since who knows when but he can't still get the hang of it. *I wonder when will he just give up and eat it with his hands ahhaha*
Mikasa on the other hand, always have her eyes fixed on me like she doesn't want to loss me out of her sight. *geezzz, her gaze makes me uncomfortable.*
Time to time we also share some small talks, I wanted to ask them about how it feels like to be a survey corps and such since it is a dream of mine, but I don't want to ruin the happy atmosphere we have, I'm afraid that by discussing topics as that, it will lead to some unpleasant discussions, maybe I'll reserved my personal questions for the next time.
After dinner, the maids lead them to hallways going to their separate rooms.
"Ah, before that, you might want to change your clothes, you will find a pair of pajamas on the bed." I said to them
"You mean you want us to remove our gears?" Mikasa asked with a serious look on her face
"Ah, yeah. I mean it's time to sleep, it'll be awkward to sleep with ah, those." I said as I point at their gear "It looks heavy."
"B-but what if a Titan suddenly appears?!" Armin exclaimed "And we're unprepared?!" he added
"Calm down Armin, there are no Titans in here." I said to him
"No Titans? How? IMPOSSIBLE!" Bertholdt replied
"No I swear, there are no Titans in here, no walls, no threat." I said
They look at me amused and hesitant but I convinced them that tomorrow I will bring them outside for them to see that what I was saying are true, that there are no Titans and no walls outside, they all agreed except for Mikasa, Levi and Eren, they are still on high guard.
I lead them one by one to their rooms, until it's me and Armin is left, he is the last one, I said my goodnights to him but before I left he called me and said,
"Lucas! thank you for today, ahh... The meal was delicious." he said and he closed the door.
