15 year old Regina was overwhelmed, Jason Cook was the cutest boy at Mackerel High School. She had a crush on him since the 6th grade. Then, out of the ordinary, he asked her out! Of course, he asked her to a small dance at school, but this was a huge thing for her! She wore a nice dress, peach colored, matching slip-ons, she curled her hair and put it up. She didn't wear any make-up, she wanted to look natural. Before she knew it, it was time for the dance! She had asked her dad to drive her since she wasn't getting her new car 'til her 16th birthday. When she got there she took a deep sigh and walked through the doors. She could see lots of people she knew, her  girlfriends, her guy friends. But no Jason. What if he doesn't show up? She thought. What if this is all a big prank? She immediately started panicking, but she calmed down. She walked over to some of her friends with their dates. "Omg, gurl! You look AMA-ZANG!" Jessica said. "Yeah, Jason is soooo lucky to have you!" Tracy complimented. "Uh, thanks!" She shouted over the crowd and music. "Where's Jason?" Zoe asked. "Uh, he's not here yet." She said, looking at the ground. "He better show up! Or I'll beat tha crap outta him!" Sarah said. She put up her fists for effect. She smiled. "Thanks, but I wanna be the one to beat him up!" She put up her own fists. They laughed. Then she started smiling while looking behind Regina. "Hey! Look who's here!" She turned around to see Jason walking towards her. "Is this a bad time?" He said, with his silky smooth voice. "No, not at all." She responded. She could feel a pounding in her chest, she felt all jittery. Her friends moved out of the way, so did everyone else. Jason grabbed her hand and led her through the crowd. The d.j. started up a slow song. They started dancing. Regina rested her head on Jason's chest. She could feel his heartbeat. Thump-thump, thump-thump. She closed her eyes. After a while she looked up into his eyes, he looked at her eyes, then at her lips, and back at her emerald eyes. And he leaned in for a kiss, then locked lips. She closed her eyes and savored the moment. Fireworks, is what happened, her heart doing a tap dance. She smiled, and they broke away. Then she felt a sharp pain in her stomach. She put her hand up to the pain. She gagged, she looked down and whimpered. Jason had a knife in her stomach , he twisted it and pulled it out. She cryed out in pain, and fell to the ground. She looked at everyone with blurry vision and saw her friends running to her. Sarah pushed Jason out of the way and punched him in the face, Everything was going black. She felt a pool of liquid touching her skin. And just like that, Regina was gone.
