"Yes, I have been hearing about that," I here my fathers deep and smooth tone. He had always had an athsetically pleasing voice, but something told me that these guys didn't care about how pretty his voice was.

"This meat is very well done, thank you Mrs.Grey. Nicely cooked, just like DC," said the same voice that greeted him.

"Yes I understand that Washington has suffered great fire damage, but do you have any idea what we should do about this situation?" My dad asks calmly

"Oh, well that isn't our job Grey, in your position as Major General Grey, I believe it is your job," said the man's voice, he ended it almost as a question, which added extra horror to the statement.

No matter what the man said my dad stayed strong, I admired him for that,"Yes, you are in fact correct, and yes I have came up with a couple strategys for this."

"Please, allow me to hear what you have devised," said the man's voice. I really wanted to see the man's face, because with the kind of voice that he has, I wonder what his face would look like.

"Well," my dad started,"I believe that we should send troops into the area with ample amounts of tear gas and exterminate the area," while he said this I suspected that the man would be looking at my father since he was speaking, so I tried to peek my head around the doorway to the steps to maybe get a glimpse of the man's complextion. I peered one of my eyes around the corner of the doorway just as my dad finishes his suggestion. I saw the man, but I could only get a small half second glance before he started moving his head around making my head shoot back to its original position. From what I saw the man was completely bald, like actually naturally bald, not like those people who shave their heads (Ew). He looked like he was wearing a black suit too but that was all I was able to take in with the small amount of time I was offered to gawk at him.

"You said that you had more than one plan, yes?" The bald man said.

"Yes I did," said my dad.

"Then out with it Grey!" The bald man said.

"Alright," my dad began,"my other plan is that we isolate this state, so that we no longer have to deal with the corrupted state of this government that we call 'united'."

This time, I peered my head around the corner right when my dad started talking. I was able to get a better look at the man, noticing that he was completely bald, meaning he had no eyebrows as well as hair. But right when my dad finished talking about his plan, the bald man's lifeless eyes shot up at mine. My head flew back and I started to try to make my breathing unnoticeable but ended up just making these loud choppy breath noises, my entire body was tensed up.

"No no child, show yourself," I could hear the menacing smile on his face,"come out or I'll send people up there to find you."

I sure as hell did not want to show myself to bald man, but I saw no other choice, you know other than letting his army friends come up here and drag me down.

I slowly stood up and sucked in all the air around me. I stepped in front of the doorway and immediately felt the burning of everyones eyes on me, including my dad's disappointed glare. My eyes scanned the room and found four other people besides the bald man that were foreign to this house.

"Ah yes, a nice young man, masculine, brave I can see, he will do very nicely," said the bald man quietly. Then louder he said,"Come boy, walk down the stairs and let me get a good look at you." I was terrified of him, but I followed his orders for fear of my life. I walked down the stairs slowly.

When I reached the bottom of the stairs I just stood there as close to the bottom step as I could. His gray eyes locked on mine, a wry smile slid across his face and he nodded,"You are recruited boy, go pack your things, we leave at sunrise."
