The Message

The Story

(This is very very short!! I have tweaked the story a bit do it sounds a bit better. I will post the original story though.)

She stared at the screen in the darkness. Who was sending all these messages?..

Anna had been having a peaceful night at the campus library. She had gone there to finish up a research project. She had lost track of time and by the time she finished, it was dark out. She packed her things into her bag and started heading for the door. As she reached for the door, her phone buzzed in her pocket. She opened her phone to find a text from unknown number.

The message read,
"I wouldn't go home if I were you..."

Despite this threatening message, Anna started her journey back to her apartment, panic was racing through her mind as she walked. It got so severe that she thought she felt someone following her. She picked up her speed just as she did this, she received another message from the same number.

"I told you not to go home.. Stop running..."

She started to run faster and faster until she reached her apartment. She flew up the stairs and reached her door. As she struggled to get her keys from her bag, she received another message.

"I TOLD YOU NOT TO GO HOME. I WOULD BE CAREFUL ABOUT YOUR NEXT MOVE."

She managed to get her door unlocked. She ran inside and to her room where she turned off the lights and hid in the closet. Her breath was heavy as she dialed 911 with shaking hands. But before they could answer, she felt a hand grab onto her shoulder while another covered her mouth. She tried to fight as the mysterious person pulled her backwards into the darkness of the closet but it was no use..

Anna suddenly awoke with a jerk of her head. She looked around confused realizing she was back in the library. She sighed with a breath of relief and quickly packed up her things. She walked to the door thankful it was just a bad nightmare. She reached for the door when she felt a buzz from her phone. She opened her phone to find a message from an unknown number.

"I wouldn't go home if I were you..."
