Chapter 2
It's 2:05 am, I woke up from one of my constant nightmares about Stephan murdering me, which I have every night. I get out of bed, and slowly walk over to my window. It's barred and locked with a key, with bulletproof glass. I miss fresh air, I've been locked up and guarded by Stephan for almost 2 years. It would take a miracle for me to get out. I get back in bed, knowing that I won't go back to sleep again. My eyes start to wander and I see a broken piece of glass in the hallway from when Stephan threw a vase at my head yesterday. I slowly reach for the back of my head, afraid to touch it. I quickly jolt my hand away because of the pain. I wince in pain, and slowly approach the piece of glass. I walk to the bathroom, being super cautious of the floorboards that creak loudly, and quietly shut the door. I sit on the edge of the molded bathtub and begin to slit my left wrist with the glass. It hurts a lot, but after the 3rd or 4th slit, you get used to it. I quickly rush to the sink to rinse off the blood coming out of my arm, grab some wrap and tape, and wrap up the cuts. I feel better than I was before, and suddenly tired. I slowly climb back into bed, being cautious of the new cuts. I position myself so I'm laying on my stomach, and slowly drift off into a deep sleep.
