Naudia P.O.V
I walked into the house from a long day of school and work. At work, lots of clients came in for meetings, and paperwork and all I wanted to do was get in the shower and go to bed. But I had to write an essay about what friendship meant to me. I started dinner knowing e would be here in an hour. I got out the ground turkey, pasta noodles, tomato sauce and the garlic bread and began cooking them. As soon as I was about to retrieve my laptop from my room my phone rung.
Me: hello
Mosiah: hay Naudia
Me: Mosiah, how are you?
Mosiah: great now that I hear your voice
Me: oh stop it what have been up to all day?
Mosiah: The same ole same ole filming and teaching, you?
Me: school and work
Mosiah: Great hows the dance class thing going?
Me: well I talked to the owner and she said that I could teach on the weekends due to the fact that I already go to work and school on the weekdays. I'm teaching a group of 7-year-old ballerinas.
Mosiah: that sounds great can't wait for the recital
Me: yep and thank God I have tomorrow off so I can do some extra school work.
Mosiah: your off tomorrow?
Me: yeah I asked for it and it was given and I'm happy.
Mosiah: hey you think you wanna catch breakfast tomorrow morning?
Me: yeah that sounds great
Mosiah: 9 sounds good?
Me: yep
Mosiah: alright see you then
Me: see you then.
I hung up the phone to find Jerome leaning on the counter drinking his Gatorade. He was all sweaty from practice and he still had on his practice jersey.
Me: I didn't even hear you come in
Jerome: yeah you were on the phone with...
Me: Mosiah
Jerome: you still fooling with him?
Me: yes he is a great friend unlike you who didn't even call me on my lunch break.
Jerome: I'm sorry we didn't take a break today.
He tried to hug me but I put my hand up.
Me: shower first hug later. You smell awful
Jerome: well thanks for trying to sugar coat it.
Me: love you too
I went to my room and got my laptop and started my essay. I was almost done when a knock on my door.
Me: yes?
I said not looking up and trying to finish the last paragraph.
Jerome: I'm out
ME: did you eat yet?
Jerome: no I'm going out to eat
Me: with?
Jerome: Megan
That name made my head pop up. Megan went to school with us when we were in high school and her brother fought Jerome because he kissed Maegan. His brother stood a few inches taller than Jerome and it didn't end well.
Me: Jerome...
Jerome: I know I know but things are different now and her brother said he was sorry and that I could take her out.
Me: when should I be expecting you?
I said while printing my work.
Jerome: I'm crashing at her place.
Me: whatever, see you tomorrow.
I walked out and into the kitchen where I fixed my now finished food. I sat on the island and began to eat. I could feel him burning holes through the side of my face but I refused to look up. I finished and started to my room only to be pulled into his arms. After a while, I hugged him back.
Jerome: ima be safe I promise.
Me: how do I know?
Jerome: cause ima come back in the morning.
Me: no your not.
Jerome: yes I am. here I'll give you my chain
Me: no that's your favorite chain.
Jerome: exactly, so you know I'll be back in the morning for it and then I'll take you out for brekfast.
Me: actually Mosiah is taking me out for breakfast.
Jerome: oh well ill just catch you later.
