Chapter 2: Friendship never dies

~Lisa P.O.V.~

It's been about 2 weeks now and I and Zack got along fine, we helped each other, gave each other food, stayed close to one another, we survive through this hell together no matter what it takes. "Lisa come here!" I ran to Zack's bed and looked at him, he was under his blanket. "Boo!" he pops his head out trying to scare me. "Ha ha, very funny but that didn't scare me!" I smile while crossing my arms. He frowns and pulls me under the blanket with him. "Zack!" He laughs and looks at me. "Hey, Lisa?" I turn my head to him. "Yes?" "What happens if we get separated?" He asks while looking down, with a frown. Never thought about that til now but I know no one will come to this orphanage. "Zack...our friendship will never die we'll be friends forever, don't forget that alright!" He smiles nods. "Yeah...forever." He pats my head and kisses it. His touch is calming I don't want it to end. I looked up at him with a red face he was already looking at me with a tinted blush across his cheeks. "Lisa...promise me that we will find each other later in life!" He held up a pinky finger. Cute! "I promise! I swear!" I pinky swore and it will never be broken. Suddenly the door opens to reveal the man and another woman. "Here's the little brats, choose and pay!" Me and Zack looked at the woman with glares, she's gonna take one of us. Zack holds me close so tight he's scared to lose...his only friend he made, a friend that never thought of him as a monster only a boy who went through hell like me. "I'll take her." The man walks to me and yanks me away from Zack but he pulls me back to him. "No! She ain't leavin' me!" Zack screamed out with pain in his voice. "Zack..." The man shoves him back and pulls me to the woman and throws me to her. "Pay up!" The man demanded. She pays the man and walks away holding my hand, she had to pull me because the pain in Zack hurt me badly. I can't...I don't wanna leave him. "Move it, girl!" We made it to the front and walking out. "LISA!" I looked back to see Zack trying to run to me but was yanked back by the man. "Stop it you monster!" he kept kicking and screaming ignoring the man. 

The woman opens the door of the car, I look back at Zack tears streaming down. "DONT FORGET ABOUT OUR PROMISE!" he stops struggling and looks down, I can see tears going down his face. "I I WON'T!" he yells back. I smiled to myself and got in the car. The woman closes the door and gets in driving away from the hell, I looked out the window seeing Zack watching as the car drove away. I wonder what's waiting for me in this life now.
